I can't believe I stole my own username from myself by making an account on these forums a thousand years ago
luckily there's at least three other ways to make the exact same username so I'll never have to worry about stealing my own username from myself again

Kind of? I made a DA account over a decade ago under the name Chloemew, but never did anything with it. Several years later I'd completely forgotten about it and made a new account called Chloemew4ever (it sounded cool to 12 year old me shhhh), running under the assumption someone else had just already taken my name (which is bullshit because that's my username, I've had it since 1999 u fakers >:C). Then even MORE years later, I decided to test something, and was able to log into the account I thought belonged to someone else! Then I proceeded to forget about it for another several years before eventually moving over to it and abandoning my Chloemew4ever account because it was full of my terrible old Invader Zim fanart. The end

I put the old account and the new one in a shoebox with a knife and let them sort it out.

sounds like exactly the kind of wild ride that comes with account shenanigans involving DA

This is the only way to deal with this issue.
