I can't say, honestly. I'm running it on my tablet, and from my perspective it's a huge step back from 8, which was almost perfect. Since I assume you have a more traditional computer, you'll probably like it. All the real issues I've seen (aside from some inevitable launch-week instability) have been in the tablet/touch side of the OS. If I were to compare it to my memories of 7, I'd say it's just as usable but much better optimized and with a few modern comforts?

Assuming nothing goes terribly wrong during the upgrade, you could always try it out and roll back to 7 (within a month) if you don't like it.

Currently: Utter chaos. Haven't cleaned it up in a while.

Also disregard McAfee there, it came with some other software and I never bothered uninstalling it since it's just the free trial that scans and does nothing to deal with the problems it finds except prompt you to buy it.

I'll get around to that at some point.

I made my own Earthbound map wallpapers a while ago and use them every now and then.

You guys can use them if you want! Just be warned that they're not scaled to screen resolution. I just use fit to screen and they look fine.
