I've already seen every episode to date as of right now.

I think it is going to be on Adult Swim because I remember that they had some secret stuff for their future line up: new shows, new anime, new season. Plus like I stated in the title that it will be here in 2009.
But if I'm wrong on the Adult Swim part don't b-l-a-m-e me, I'm just working with what info I'm given.

Edit: Oh and if all y'all need something to compare it with then lookit this.

While some of you chumps & chumpettes will be faithfully watching it & waiting for each episode I will be spoiling stuff like
Daisya dies
and
General Kevin Yeegar dies
oh and who can forget
Suman Dark quits and becomes evil, then dies
english web portal: http://www.funimation.com/dgrayman/
wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D.Gray-man

p.s. episode 1 is WAY creepier than the other ones. also, episodes 8 & 18 are WAY funnier than the other ones.

I hope you don't explain anything at all about the show. That would just ruin the suspense.

A couple years ago i got into the Manga.

But then it got popular, and i didn't want to be mistaken as just another weaboo hoppin' on the bandwagon, so i went back to obsessing over .hack.

I'll get back to D.Gray man another day.

Ooh, better hurry. When I first heard of Naruto coming to Toonami I read the manga quite far and liked the story, but then the american dub came out and all I ever heard was "believe it!" so now I am no longer a fan of Narutard. My point being enjoy it before the noobs get it.

i hardly ever watch the anime to manga. Mostly because of fillers, and the leaving out of certain parts i liked...

The exceptions to this for me are: Rurouni Kenshin, the original Dragon Ball(which is almost exactly like the manga, panel to frame), Clannad(because i feel the anime is better and more funny.), and Case Closed, when it was on TV. Otherwise, i'm a manga-only gal.

That's why I only watched Naruto fansubs. Now I can go all 'Dattebayo' on the weaabs and they won't have a clue as to what I'm talking about.

Not that I do that often. Only when they're being a pest. It's like telling six-year-olds Santa Claus is fake.
Yes, subs not dubs. I just wonder who they will get for the voice actiors.

No you got to tell them that Santa is in space gathering power & every year he comes to earth to try and destroy everything!
(lame Zim reference I know...)

I've been watching D. Gray Man for about a month now, one of my friends on another forum liked it so I thought I'd check it out. It's pretty good, I'm up to episode ... 35? 36? Something like that.

Hopefully they don't kill their voices with the dub too terribly.

I'm not watching the English if they screw up Allen's voice. I like the anime in Japanese, and love the manga. My friend got me into the series, if not for her I wouldn't know about it.

I got Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the NEw World, and the main character looks like Allen in the anime (Cuz i swear, he looks completely different in the manga D:<)

If you look throughout the entire series, Allen does age as he goes through the series. He face starts to mature in the later mangas.

Off-topic, but how does obsessing over .hack make you look any less like a weaboo?

Back ON topic, I'm actually pretty disappointed about the D.Gray-man anime. It doesn't really capture the really cool art style of the original manga very well. But hey, I don't care if it airs on Adult Swim and gets a whole slew of new fans. I honestly prefer if more people liked anime I watch, because then there's more people to talk to about it. :\

I'm more of a manga reader in general to be honest, but I really hope they get at least Allen and Lavi's (or Rabi, Ravi, how ever you want) to sound good

It wasn't about looking less like a weaboo, it was about not looking like she was just following the crowd.

I got into D.Gray-man at I think about Chapter 90 in the manga. I really don't care if people think I Bandwagon or not, it's about who's left in the fandom afterwards, not before or during it's peak of popularity, or that's how I see it.

Edit: Page-get
