I was wondering if any of the proletariats would ever consider making it possible to post youtube videos screen-in-screen.

I don't know all the ins and outs of setting it up - but once it is set up it's not really any different from posting images.

Except you post the youtube code (after v=) between [vid] and [/vid].

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8V3H9BgskBY < That last bit.

For example:

[vid]8V3H9BgskBY[/vid]

And you end up with a video box that you can watch screen-in-screen that looks like this:

I know you guys got sick of all the youtube urls that were being posted (and no-one was watching) so I thought I'd post this - just in case it caught your interest.

If, however, you don't want anything to do with it I'm not too concerned.

I actually support this motion, but I believe this is an admin level program thing.

I wouldn't want to infringe upon our beloved Zomnambulist's already limited time unnecessarily.

Embedding videos is possible in phpBB, I think. Though, I always open videos in a new tab anyway :l

Considering posting a youtube link is an instant comedy-fail, I doubt letting you guys post interactive grainy squares of youtube would make it any more worthwhile.

Not to mention the bullshit thread would immediately become three thousand times more obnoxious to look at.

Then how about a rule, we may either post one boxtube, or more than one links to youtube videos. And whoever has posted a bunch of youtube boxes in one post gets banned.

It's not the number that's the problem, it's the fact that that people shouldn't even bother posting them. :colbert:

There were some good original animations by some guy who had a style kinda like Katie's but animated - Mega Man, Pokeyman, Metroids, Boos - it was all good.

I'd post them but you obviously don't want to see them so - nyah.

But yeah there is a lot of youtube stuff which isn't funny.

I was only trying to see what your opinions/reactions were to a suggestion.

Chell, make a Youtube thread and post all the links there.
But having media blocks all over the place would slow down the site and individual users as they browse the thread.

In the interest of swift computer processors and consistent quality humor in this forum, I deem this idea "Good Intentions, Bad Cause."

I wish I had a cat that was addicted to cocaine.

This thread is now officially off-topic.

I blame Merlin for unlocking it.

And bringing cats into the equation.
