I'm a big fan of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. As such, I'm interested in reading more books set in that time frame that discuss the 70's drug craze. Recommend some books that are (preferably) from a first-person narrative, and are surreal as shit.

I'm sorry but books don't exist in our minds...cept for spell books...and maybe some cook books...and manga...and books in general.

William S. Burroughs is your man, especially his debut Junkie/Junky and Naked Lunch.

The only drug culture book(s) I can recall off the top of my head is Smack by Melvin Burgess, and whoever the hell wrote Requiem for a Dream but you've probably heard of those.
