Anyone else like it? I pretty much came into knowledge of it through my stepdad and stepmom, since they're both English.

as a matter of fact, yes, i do. oddly enough, i was introduced to the show through my mom...who also happens to be the biggest scifi nerd i know. and i know a lot of nerds (most, if not all, of my friends). she still holds all her pens at work in coffee mug from the original star trek series.

anyway, back to the point of this thread, its a good show. i have yet to see any of the original episodes from the 60's, but i like the current version a lot. i still can't decide whether i like the guy from the first season best or if i like the current guy better.

hmm, i've probably said more than anybody wanted to know.....

EDIT: and seriously, anyone who travels through time and space in a 1950's london telephone booth is just cool.

also, cybermen.

We were supposed to make gingerbread houses in hospitality a few years back, but I decided to do a gingerbread tardis instead. Incidentally, Tim Roth is supposed to play The Doctor after David Tennant's done.

I LOVE EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD. :awesome:

If I lived in a city, I'd be graffitiing "Bad Wolf" all over the daisies place.

Has anyone here been keeping up with season 4? Cause I really wanna discuss recent events, but don't wanna spoil shit.

I was introduced to Doctor Who via a friend of mine, who linked me to Rose, the first episode of the new series. But despite Christopher Eccleston being my first Doctor, I like David Tennant's Doctor more.

I shall be quite sad to see him go.

On the other hand, he's gonna play fucking HAMLET. That is going to be epic fucking shit, yo. Hamlet's my favorite Shakespearian play, and David Tennant has become on of my favorite actors.

Also, is there an article somewhere about that Tim Roth bit?

The Dalek/Cybermen exhange from Doomsday is one of my favorite Doctor Who moments ever.

Also, I shat a mountain of bricks when
Rose showed up at the end of Partners in Crime. I kept myself in the dark to avoid spoilerage, so I had no idea she was coming back.

Also, who's spotted all her cameos in Season 4?
Edit: Oh god it's beautiful.

yeah, the surprised the hell out of me when i saw her at the end of that episode. for the most part i've been keeping up with it, but i've missed a few since my dad doesn't get the sci-fi channel. like the one with his daughter. but i'll see them eventually either on sci-fi or when my mom buys season 4 (she's already bought the first 3, despite being stingy with her cheddar when i want something...).

and the bit about graffitiing "bad wolf," best idea ever.

I torrent each episode every saturday. No can wait for Sci-Fi.

I'll be buying season four on DVD, naturally, so it's not really theft. Can't steal what's not up for sale yet.

Also, it seems that David Tennant in dating Georgia Moffett (the chick who played Jenny in The Doctor's Daughter.) Also, another fun fact, Georgia Moffett is the daughter of Peter Davison, who played the Fifth Doctor.

And I've already put "Bad Wolf" in a few places at work. There's a few good places in this town where I may graffiti it too.

My mom and stepdad are web-pirates and download Dr. Who off of UKnova. Due to this, I'm none too up-to-date.

it sucks having no cable to watch Dr. Who, but from what episodes that i have watched, and the raving reviews about how cool it is from my buds, i'd say it's a decent show
I am raging so fucking hard over that cliffhanger just now.

If anyone tells me who's gonna ply the 11th doctor before I see the fucking finale next week, I will kill myself. And when my tainted spirit finds its destination, I will topple the master of that dark place. From my black throne, I will lash together a machine of bone and blood, and fueled by my hatred for you all this fear engine will bore a hole between this world and that one.

When it begins, you will hear the sound of children screaming—as though from a great distance. A smoking orb of nothing will grow above your bed, and from it will emerge a thousand starving crows. As I slip through the widening maw in my new form, you will catch only a glimpse of my radiance before you are incinerated. Then, as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin.

I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth.
