It's the time of year again to celebrate the holidays with pleasant company, delicious food, fanciful decorations and the festive spirit!

I'm a big fan of Christmas, mainly for the atmosphere that floods my house this time of year. As decorations start to adorn my house, it starts to feel more warm and inviting. Enjoying my winter break curled up in my basement with a game with all the Christmas lights on is one of my favourite parts of the season.

What do you guys like about the holidays?

I have to admit I do like the lights and decorations a lot, especially the shiny stuff you hang on trees. The food is okay, but yeah, decorations and the christmas gifts are my favorite part.

The Christmas spirit is what I like of course, even though I'm not even fully sure what it is.

Something about the combination of snow, Christmas lights and jolly mood is just great.

This year I intend to go to the city and spend the final days of the year with my dad, hopefully taking some driving lessons while I'm there.

I might be able to buy some christmas gifts if I see anything. I wouldn't know what to get though.

Either way, I'm just really in the mood for Christmas as usual.

sparkles and lights make me pop flyin'. i get nostalgic for the sound of the fireplace and the steady whirr of the motors on my mom's christmas tree a lot. this year she has three :P

i'm feeling left out of the christmas spirit this year because i don't want to decorate my apartment since i'll just take it down in a week or so, but my house won't be ready for a week and a half lol x: so i'll be putting up decorations like the week before christmas. lame.

at least own is GORGEOUS right now oh my god. the decorations are beautiful. i should take my dslr and snap a few photos next time we go in the mall area.

this photo from a newspaper doesn't even do it justice:

I simply adore my house at christmas time, it isn't much, but I always hang up some blue lights in my room, and my grandparents house is the best, my grandma always heats up the house so it's nice and comfortable, the smell of gingerbread in the air, and gorgeous garnet garland with multiple colored lights making an X formation across the room, with that fat-booty christmas tree in front of the window, while I sit in the recliner in front of the Telly, watching the Santa Clause 2 while playing TF2 or Terraria on my laptop.

It's the closest things to heaven.

I just like being home for Christmas, being with family, and relaxing for a few weeks.

The one thing I don't really like about Christmas has nothing to do with the holiday itself and everything to do with the fact that my school's football team goes to a bowl game every year, so scheduling visits to relatives is a PAIN.

My extended family has this yearly tradition during thanksgiving, where we all write things we want for Christmas and put it in a bowl. Then we draw names and that's the only person we need to worry about (besides immediate family) getting a gift for.

I have gotten to the point in my life where I can just buy things when I see something I like, and now I'm really hard to get presents for. All of my hobbies are too expensive for white elephant gifts

We do the same thing, only both sides of the family do it so there's a bit of a double dipping situation that happens.

Some people are really hard to buy for though, and one of us seems to get stuck with them every year.;;
