Not knowing which of the 70 different bleeps or bloops or WOOP WOOP WOOPs tells me that I'm about to get a missile up my booty in DCS.

EDIT: AND ALL THE PLANES USE DIFFERENT SOUNDS TOO

The Chicago Cubs did a thing, a sports thing, and now a couple of the shows I recorded last night have been replaced by coverage of the stupid after party. Everyone else in the US got the regular show but Not the Chicago land area .

I wish I could multitask better. I can't concentrate well, or talk to people and do work at the same time at all. Which makes me really upset cuz I don't wanna stop talking to someone suddenly, because sometimes I haven't talked to that person in quite a while and so I don't want them to think that I just don't like talking to them.

I attempted to have an intelligent conversation with my father because I forgot these things are mutually exclusive and it turns out "yogurt" is a very confusing topic for some people.

Was it over pronunciation? Like "yo-gert" or "yog-urt"? Or like, what yogurt is?

I was talking about this new store that opened in our town. It's a place where you can buy all kinds of food in bulk. They sell yogurt-covered raisins/almonds/cranberries/blueberries/whatever, and it all comes with Greek and non-Greek variants. I was telling him about how one could be surprised to learn that Greek yogurt is actually less fat and generally healthier than regular yogurt (from what I could gather at the store anyway) and that they sell it at the same price so one should pick the Greek one. Nothing deeply intellectual here. But all he had to say was that he doesn't buy Greek yogurt because omg it's like $4 I can get 4 times as much 0% fat but sadness-flavoured yogurt and also that I couldn't be right and they couldn't possibly sell both kinds at the same price. It annoyed me because the only thing he can talk about is the weather and how great it is to save 10¢ on apples by spending 5 hours driving to 4 different stores. Also, because he never understands anything, he thought I was talking about liquid yogurt with fruits in it that you can just shovel into a bag so I had to repeat everything.

Every once in a while I feel bad for barely talking to him and give it a try and every time I get reminded why I don't talk much in the first place but I still feel bad for being an impatient shit with him when I'm usually forgiving of others.

I had a song going through my head briefly, I was about to go search for it on youtube when a completely different song started playing in my head.
Now I can't remember what the first song was and brain why do you betray me so?

Uuuuugh I have to go buy printer ink so I can do paperwork (a double whammy of annoying things) and I have to take my car to the shop at some point this week. I will probably end up spending a lot of cheddar getting shit fixed. yaaay

My car just completely shut down today. No amount of jump starting made it come back alive. Yaaaay.

we just got some rain off the arms, nothing super bad but it's just been steady and obnoxious

and yes, they're called carpetmills and depending on where you're at people will call the cops on you for owning dogfighting equipment lmao. hoxton's pretty high energy and there's not a lot of good places to take him running here, so it's a way to get him exercised.

The talk of "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" reminded me of when my sister and I got our mother to play it, and she was the defuser. First of all she was very eager to talk about irrelevant information. The fact that there's no need to describe the timer, I'd say is only somewhat intuitive so I guess I can forgive that she spent time describing it to us. I can't forgive, however, that she kept talking about the details of different modules as we asked her about the details of one module, even when we told her "stay on the [module]". But most of all what annoyed me was that the majority of the game was spent in confusion about the wire module, the simplest module there is. We gave her what we we thought was the right answer but it wasn't right. And by the way, we learned that it wasn't right after WAY too long of trying to get her to tell us whether she got a strike or a green light. Eventually we got so confused as to why we weren't getting it right that we actually cheated and looked at the screen.
Turns out she was listing the wires from BOTTOM TO TOP. Which the majority of the world would probably describe as NOT HOW YOU LIST THINGS. And after we told her that she defended herself by saying "I told you that the bottom wire was [color]." When the top and bottom wires were the same color.
If there's a way to get something wrong, she'll find it.
