As for the childhood thing yeah I agree. Trans* children have different priorities just like adult trans* people and cis people, straight people, non-heterosexual people, etc. Children have radically different ideas about goals in life so a child may or may not feel like they should conform to their assigned gender early on. Life is fluid and people don't develop their gender the same way and people who have notions about "how to be trans*" don't seem to understand that.

I dunno. Obviously far from all of it is because of the community itself. But the amount of infighting and "NO YOU HAVE TO BE DIFFERENT MY WAY" that I have seen rivals the denominations of the Christian church arguing over doctrine. Clearly, not everyone is going to have that attitude, but there is an unfortunately loud amount of it.
I'm sure you are sensible enough for this statement to be unnecessary for you as an individual, but general PSA: Not everyone thinks with the same process you do. You might think something sounds ridiculous and inefficient, but to someone else, it makes perfect sense. It's all a matter of personal context. Bear that in mind when considering the possibility of differing opinions.

I just don't believe it's by any means a majority. Of the many many trans people I know none of them are that way. Internet brings out a different crowd that what's offered in the world outside imo.

Oh, I thought we were only talking about internet crowds, since she doesn't know anyone in person aside from maybe one friend that she already knew before.

And some of it is likely growing pains. The trans* community is fairly new in being an actual organized and multi-national group of people discussing the issue openly like this. There's going to be some culture clash and some differing opinions and it's going to mean a lot to people because it's personal. You're also going to have people taking different approaches to enacting change in society, such as the people who petition for a "take no compromise" approach vs. a one fight at a time approach.

That's likely a big issue surrounding the community's equilibrium right now.

To be fair though, I don't know many trans* groups in person so a lot of this is related to the internet which opens a lot of variables into consideration that you wouldn't have outside of the web.

No, I meant another trans person. the implication was that virtually all of our experience was with online people.

Makes sense. It's hard to find out in real life if someone is trans, even if they are out (which they often are not).

Things About Transitioning That I Stress About #344182: I have absolutely no fashion sense in regards to women's clothes and no clue how to wear certain things. And it doesn't help when I look in stores around town and nothing really catches my eye. It's not that I wouldn't wear most of that stuff, it's just that it doesn't really grab me.

However, I'm playing through Pokemon Y again as the female Trainer and MY GOD EVERYTHING IS CUTE. It's actually really helping my self-confidence because I'm able to make really cute outfits for my character and they look great.

So you see, it's not that I'm bad at women's fashion, it's that I am the BEST and these plebian clothes they sell in town are BENEATH ME.

ugh why does Game freak do that anyway? Here is a fantastic addition to the series - for just this round of games lol.

Anyway, my weak spot for women's fashion: emerald green cocktail dress.
get one of those

The new Gen 6 games that are coming eventually will probably feature the trainer customization.
It just wasn't in ORAS because it wasn't deemed suitable for the remakes and Kalos has a greater theme of "fashion" while Hoenn does not.

Anyway, I suggest getting some advice about what goes with clothes that you like.
You don't have to buy things you don't like wearing just because it's fashionable.

That wasn't actually what I meant at all, but OK. It's still solid advice, so thanks.

I'm obviously not going to buy clothes that I hate.

I'm pretty sure that I'm Asexual, since I've never felt any sexual attraction to anyone. Romantic? Sure, but never anything sexual. But whenever I've tried some people, outside of good friends who understand that, they kinda don't get it? I mean, it's a little annoying, but I try to ignore it.

That seems to be a common problem asexual people have. It is extremely difficult for some people to wrap their heads around a lack of sexual attraction, I even have that problem big time, I can't even begin to pretend to understand how that works. It's still really shitty how a lot of people refuse to get it even after it's spelled out, though.

I used to seriously be that kind of guy, but only because I honestly didn't know that asexuality was a thing.
