The only thing we actively did on day one was No Lynch, and joked around. I kinda didn't want to post yesterday either, because I had nothing much to add to the conversation.

Here's the thing. With no investigator, we will never have any "solid" evidence to go on. We have to look at what each person is saying in the thread and determine their motivations from what they're saying.

I agree with Kamak that the gunsmith should stay hidden, whoever he is. If he outs himself, the mafia will definitely kill him the next night, OR the town could suspect him of being a mafia posing as gunsmith and lynch him. If a mafia claims to be gunsmith, well, then we'll fall into whatever trap they're leading us into.

I still think we should give people a chance to state their case. Yeah, they're not going to admit anything of course, but we at least can hear their reasoning. Who knows, maybe they'll slip up and say something suspicious.

Well, the whole point in the GS outing himself is if he goes uncontested, then chances are he's the legit GS, and the doctor could then continually save him. Even if someone else claims to be GS despite there already being a claim to it, then we can safely say that whoever claims is either the real gunsmith, or a member of the mafia. That'd serve to give us a smaller suspect pool to act on. Then again, Kamak brought up the point that the mafia could have a gun and just kill him right off doctor or not.

Also, I'd just like to add that lynching between quiet people is risky because the doctor tends to be quiet. We might just hit one of our last remaining useful roles. All I'm left to suggest is to maybe scumhunt from what has been said so far.

Depending on how accurate the self-defense shot is for people with a gun, the gunsmith could reliably save himself so long as he keeps giving himself a gun.
The only thing outing the gunsmith would do is give the mafia a power role to target.

Which would be where the doctor comes in.

Meaning the rest of the townies are vulnerable forever because the doctor is busy protecting the gunsmith.

Being the doctor should seem like a crapshoot from the town's perspective anyway. He has to pick who to save based on nothing but who seems like they'd be the best target for the mafia, and most of the time it's amazing when everyone walks up and no one has died.

Plus, he has more to choose from in his pool of "who to save" than the Mafia does their pool of "who to kill", so he has a greater chance at saving someone who's not even a townie than the mafia does at killing someone who is a power role.

I would like to come out and say that I am not the gunsmith, and that the doctor should not waste his/her time on me.
Anyway, let's say we do find the real gunsmith, and we protect him, and everyday we get new guns. Who is getting them? Who is getting shot?

In best case, if someone counter claims and doesn't list them as one of the receivers of a gun.
Else... just keep them for lonely nights when some mafia comes.

Yeah I agree with Runes that we need to get somewhere BUT I don't think we should go for the 'quiet' people anymore.

Is there another reason you want to lynch him?

But didn't we JUST finish saying that the quiet players might be trying to keep from drawing attention from the mafia?

I'm not saying it worked, seeing as Supaaku bit it on night two, but if I were the doctor I'd probably avoid talking too much as well. Smart players get picked off fast if they aren't careful.

...course, I'm probably just painting a target on myself the more I analyze things. :T

Action is better than inaction, we need to move forward. I'm going UNDECIDED until we get more information that can't be proven.
