Then I'd have to move.

SO HOW BOUT THAT NEW SYSTEM.

My view on it is:
PROS
Better pacing for stories
More stories/worlds
The sets will be smaller, but their content will be tighter.
No weird "does this kind of fit?" core set. Like, slivers for example, have shown up in the last few, but never enough to actually take advantage of their sliverness.
Makes people change up their strategies for Standard faster. That way you don't have someone who spends a full year putting together a barely-legal, unstoppable deck, and then just stagnates on it. 18 month rotation with a much more even shift also prevents things from changing so drastically and cutting half the cards in one year.

CONS
Cards are now only Standard for 18 months, instead of the previous 24, which means that short of a reprint, people who play tournament are technically getting less bang for their buck. (this is what /tg/ is most rustled about, for example)
Certain reprints that would fit the block, but not the setting, will now be trickier, due to no setting-neutral core set.

YES.

Quote:
Each treasure tin will come with five booster packs, three holo Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip promos, a coin, two sticker sheets featuring Legendary Pokemon (likely Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon), a mini-album to store cards, a Pokemon notepad, and four pencils with unique Pokemon designs.

YES!!!

FINALLY, A TIN THAT ISN'T THOSE STUPID OCTAGONAL PIECES OF SHIT THAT TAKE UP SPACE!

However, they are convenient for storing EDH decks. :3

I might just have to take a picture of our huge Magic: The Gathering card collection because my Dad has saved them up since his teenage years and we've got a fuckton of them.

Also, we don't have enough lands, and by that, I mean my dad is sorting them and we have 4 boxes full of lands, not including special lands

You say that as if you think that's out of the ordinary.

So my trip to the Phantom Forces Pre-release adventure was freaking incredible, albeit a bit cramp(it's a sort-of small card shop), I ended up pulling a Manetric EX and a Head Ringer, and after the rounds, I pulled a Jamming Net from one of my extra packs, so now I have both Team Flare hyper gear.

The first match was a bit...um, how do I put it..."confused", I'm sort of a novice at this kind of stuff, so I forget the rules of certain things easily, and I feel we kinda goofed up at certain points, but either way, we still had an enjoyable game, but the dude was kind of annoyed he lost, but I tried to cheer him up because he genuinely had me sweating a bit near the end with his Kingler, and its terrifying 100 damage Crabhammer attack, but I pushed through with Furfrou despite the Jamming Net he pulled on me(Makes your Pokemon's moves cost an extra energy)

The second match was TIGHT. He had already set up an army of psychic types on the field including a Wobbufett with a Dimension valley(which makes psychic-type cards cost one energy less. But I got a Jellicent in play that won against him, thankfully.

The final match was, um...quick, I felt sorry for the dude, I had my Manetric EX and Head Radar in my hand on the first round and well, lets say he had a Frillish, a Helioptile, and a Zubat, which I easily beat, sadly.

Overall, was good time, 10/10

Oh hey, I found my brother's Eldrazi deck sitting on top of a cabinet. Brings back memories of me only targerting my brother in 3-4 player games with my dad and him because I was super scared of what he could bring out, especially Ulamog The Infinite Gyre.

I feel kinda bad right now since me and my dad just played a game of Magic and only at the end of the game did I realize that on the bottom of the card in tiny text that Abhorrent Overlord says to sacrifice a creature at the beginning of your upkeep.

Would've sucked for me because I also Lord of The Pit out.

So my brother, myself, and my dad had a funny game. Me and my Brother were playing what we like to call cheese decks, purely made to annoy. The deck I was playing was actually built by my other brother. The deck I was playing had stuff like Safe Passage, Riot Control, Sustaning Spirit, and Soul Echo, and also included stuff like Time Bomb and Armageddon Clock. My brother's deck was pure lockdown, with stuff like Frost Orb, Soul Barrier, Meekstone, etc. He also had a Black Vice and means to making you draw cards (No Howling Mines though).

It was really close. My brother was knocked out of the game. I manged to keep myself from getting myself killed by my own Armageddon Clock with Safe Passage. Cloned Arachneomancer to get a Riot Control back and let the game go on a little longer. Eventually, I won because I got a lucky draw aka a Sustaining Spirit, and I had more than enough mana to pay it for a while, that and we were both on 1 and Armageddon Clock was on 5 counters.

I put Omniscience in my Simic deck. I've played it 5 times so far. 3 of them have been from my opponent letting. My Favorite has been via Chaos Warp...

For anyone here who plays Magic: The Gathering, what are your thoughts on the upcoming "Fate Reforged?"

I like the sound of the dash mechanic, as I play Mardu Aggro myself. What do you guys think? Anyone going to prerelease?

I think ugin's going everywhere even remotely associated with my simic Commander deck. One for the deck, one for the proxy that goes in the deck, one in the Boris aggro deck as backup, and one buried in a dragon sleeve (double sleeved) in my backyard with a treasure map drawn out.
