Either reinstall Zplayer or install this.

Or try vlc.
About the "couldn't update" issue, check the homepage of the player if it even still gets updated and just download and install the newest version from there.

As it turns out, it is really easy to increase my RAM, and I can have up to 8 gigs of ddr2 RAM. Anyone know where I can get a 4 gig stick or 2 2 gig sticks for a good price?

Anything over 4GB can only be used properly if you have a 64 bit OS. So make sure you got that before buying more RAM.

Since you're looking for ddr2, that probably means your computer is a few years old already and likely runs a 32-bit OS. You could also use Speccy to find out the model of the motherboard and use Google-fu to find out whether it supports ddr3 RAM.

My dad checked it and my version of windows is 64 bit. My motherboard can use only up to 8.

Alright, but I'd still recommend checking if it's possible to get ddr3 instead of ddr2, because not only is ddr3 faster, it's also cheaper.

Using the method I posted above. Download Speccy and run it, it'll give you the model of the motherboard, then Google that along with "ddr3" to find out if it supports ddr3. I doubt it does but can't hurt to make sure.

So does anyone know a way to send someone texts for free and them being able to answer? I'm usually using the textplus app on my ipod but it's not working right now.

Weird question - what do y'all think is the absolute cheapest computer on the market?

I just need to be able to hook it up to a screen and display gifs.

I might wind up using my desktop if it keeps seeming to have fixed itself, because multiple screens will be handy. If that falls through, though, I just need a device that'll hook up to a TV and play gifs over and over again for weeks.

Perhaps the Raspberry Pi? The original version costs $35 and is about the size of a credit card, and recently they released a $25 version.
