“I’m an outsider by choice, but not truly. It’s the unpleasantness of the system that keeps me out. I’d rather be in, in a good system. That’s where my discontent comes from: being forced to choose to stay outside.”

“Oh, my God!” he cried as the phone fell from his fingers. “Do you know what he wants? He wants us to march. He wants everybody to march!”

"I firmly believe that love and friendship are the two most powerful forces in the universe. I'm trying to harness their energy to create a weapon of mass destruction."
This is one of those things that I think I might have come up with but I also think I might have subconsciously plagiarized it without realizing.

reminds me closely of Black Mage's explanation of how his most powerful spell is powered by love:
"Love is a very powerful force. Even more so when it's focused into a coherent beam of destruction. Every time I cast Hadoken, it siphons away some of the love in the universe. I'm not sure how much, but I'm given to understand the divorce rates goes up with each blast."

And after that Red Mage never used it again. Which says something about the guy who mutilated chocobos for fun.

Oh. Um. I tend to shout-think Mary Poppins' "When you've quite finished!" at my laptop when the internet is being wonky.
