Eesh. Quite the backlog. Oh well, on with the show! Since Firestorm gave me two, and one is between a hero and an anti-hero, I can't do it. I can, however, do. . .
Iron-Man vs. Predator:
Tony Stark goes on a tour through the rainforest as part of a charity benefit. While everyone else comments on the surrounding scenery, Tony is texting on his phone, completely ignoring the tour guide. However, as he glances up, he sees a strange structure in the distance. Intrigued, he squirms for an excuse to break away from the group. "Hey, ah, I don't want to be a party pooper, so I'll do it over there." He runs into the brush, and into the direction he saw the structure. He approaches it, and instantly concludes that it is some sort of advanced technological vehicle. As his history has taught him, where there is advanced technology, there is usually someone seeking his head. Tony slowly drops his briefcase, and opens it to reveal his compressed Iron-Man suit. As the suit encases his body, three small red beads focus on his forehead. Just as the suit covers his head, a shot is fired.
His body is sent rolling backwards from the power of the blast, and his helmet is melted in the center, causing his suit to function poorly. He looks in the direction of the shot, but doesn't see anything. His suit detects an object moving quickly behind him. He turns around and fires a missile without a second of decision. The blast goes off right in front of him, sending the Predator and himself flying in opposite directions. The force cracks his helmet, leaving him vulnerable to the threat's attacks. But the threat is wounded, as well. Iron-Man gets up, and runs to the blast area. He sees the Predator attempting to get up, and lowers his foot on the Predator's chest. The Predator laughs, and leans back calmly. Iron-Man sees something moving on the Predator's arm. It resembles a broken digital clock. And the rate it's moving alarms Iron-Man.
Immediately, he realizes the situation, and grabs the Predator in a bear hug. He rockets up high into the air and releases the Predator, and kills his jets. He plummets to the ground as the Predator explodes in midair. The shock sends Iron-Man to the ground faster, and disoriented. He regains control, and jets upward at an angle to prevent backlash. He finally lands and removes the Iron-Man suit. He rejoins the group and Pepper Potts embraces him. "Oh god, Tony. Where were you? We saw a flash in the sky and heard explosions. I know what that means when you're around, but it scares me." Tony grins and stares her in the eyes. "Hey, I promised these good people I'd save the rainforest. You don't expect Tony Stark to go back on his word, do you? Let's continue the tour, shall we?" Iron-Man wins.
Bear in mind, if I'm underpowering someone/thing, it's because of trying to keep these relatively short. I will never give one side a bigger advantage unless it's natural.
