I'm surprised that there is not more of a discussion about LIZARDS.

I have a Leopard Gecko named Nipper (Three guesses why) and she is so adorable--if you're wondering, she's NOT the Leopard Gecko that I had for my signature a while ago.

I have a gray tabby cat named Hopper who's fat but is oh so adorable.

Also my mom has a black Toy Poodle named Sidney. He's hyper and really small for being fully grown.

Pics later, I'm on my laptop right now and it doesn't have any pictures on it. I'd be on the comp in the guest room but Mom is in there right now doing stuff on the comuter there. -_-'

They will stay the hell away from each other at first. Whatever you do, pick up one cat and take it over to the other during this period of time. I did once. I had scars on my arms for weeks.

But after a few weeks they should get along fine.

It can depend entirely on the cats. Some cats are solo cats only and won't even tolerate the presence of another in the house. Some want to have more cats around and will be in the other cat's face immediately, trying to memorize its scent and make nice.

The general guideline is what Zink said: DON'T ever force them together. Introduce them to each other by showing it is in fact you bringing the other cat in, and that you aren't threatened by the new cat. If you've trained the first cat properly and you are the "leader", it won't freak out and attack the other cat unless provoked. After a few weeks, you can try bringing them closer together and they shouldn't become upset. But until then, let them do their own thing.

fluffy, and is so daisies cuddly. yes, her name is a joke. My brother wanted to name her after the Spanish word for pop flyin', which is Alegre, but he messed it up and put Alegra which is a cat allergy medicine.

Aaaaaaaaaah guys, I envy you so much, you can't even imagine it. I grew up with pets around me, when I was born my parents had a 3 year old cat. When I was 8 we got our first dog, soon after the second. The cat died when I was 15, around 2 years later we got a new cat, and a few month later another one. Well, the dogs always "changed" when one died, we always had Boxer dogs (with one exeption, it was a staghound). The current cats my parents got are pure black, it's hard distinguishing them from each other just by looking at them.
Well, and now I moved. Far away. We can have a pet here, luckily the appartement rules are allowing it, but we don't have really much space, specially not the cheddar to care for a pet. Plus Tuxedo Mask is allergic :/
It's just so weird not having any pets around. Luckily he wants a pet aswell, despite his allergy, and I could convince him getting a dog as soon as we got the possibility, since I feel pretty lonely when he's at work, and I get ignored most of the time when he's at home. Plus I would get out of the house more.
But for now there's nothing we can do, I'm pop flyin' the neighbours cat is so friendly, because when there is no one there to let her in, I let her run around in our flat a little. I can't wait until I get to visit my parents in 2 weeks, finally I can play with dogs and cats again.
