Depends if they can self save. Some places you can some places you can't. Plus they'd never know if they should cover someone else or try and deal with a target sitting on them and protect themselves.

Like the protector would out themselves and become captain? Looking at the role, they cannot protect the same person two nights in a row, so whether they can self-save or not is not important, they'd get hit eventually. So don't out yourself, protector.

No matter who we vote for captain the fortune teller will be able to see if they're on our side or not. Even if the fortune teller doesn't say so immediately, by the time the captain role becomes the big game-changer we'll have role-revealed and we'll know whether to lynch 'em or not. This is not a big deal no matter how it goes down.

What I was talking about was more that the investigator outs himself, and the protector protects him at night, though if it's true that they can't protect the same guy two nights in a row I have to agree than neither should out themselves.

I guess it's pretty trivial, then, just who we pick.

I mean it is just a second vote.

I feel like the Captain should be someone who watches people do the discussing instead of discussing things. That way, the captain's votes swing with the majority and cement the popular opinion while maintaining neutrality.

So if Retardus ain't active in discussion, I think he'd make a good Captain. Vote Lord Retardus.

Or it could prompt them to actually read, and get involved with the thread. It's actually rather annoying to only make decisions based on who's active and who's not. I believe I've made this argument before where the idea was passed around that I be lynched because I sparked a discussion that could potentially be suspicious. If we just ignore the people who are inactive, then we end up trapped in a situation where there's only two people doing anything at all.

At least we're not making the mistake of voting for him to be lynched.

Okay then. This is just a tad unexpected. Now that I'm suddenly a candidate, I guess I'd better post something.

Anyway, I do read this thread (and a lot of others) but post rarely no matter what thread. I'm going to make an effort to not screw this up through inactivity like I did in the Ace Attorney: Investigations mafia (good god, how long ago was that).

I think I'm going to wait and see what happens for now. I don't really have any idea who to vote for at the moment.
