A bit of chocolate can do wonders.

Recently started exercising regularly. It feels pretty good. Yay leg strength.

(I should mention that exercising in this case is 30 minutes of DDR playing.)

Question:
Circumcision is a Jewish tradition, yes?
My parents aren't Jewish, my grandparents aren't Jewish, and as far as I know nobody else in my family is Jewish- yet I was still circumcised.
So unless I'm wrong about it being a Jewish-only tradition, why was I?
Should I even be posting this here

It's a big thing in a lot of religions. I know it's only REQUIRED in Judaism, but it is also widely (and optionally) practiced in branches of Christianity, which large portions of the modern world are fond of.

You'd probably get more concrete answers out of your parents.

I don't know, I think it'd be a bit jarring to go up to my dad and say "hey dad, why was I circumcised?"

Well he'd know.

It's also no less weird going up to a stranger and asking them why you were circumcised.

It's a sort of compulsory decision made in America rather frequently by families. Iunno if you live in America or how it is where you might live, but that's all I know abotu the subject beyond the religious aspect.

It bothers me that it's compulsory/portrayed as compulsory in America; If you tried to enforce something like that in the UK there'd be riots in the streets.

There's no good medical reason for compulsory circumcising of a child at birth - the evidence being that all the people who haven't been circumcised in the UK don't suffer from dick-fall-off-itis.

So basically I don't believe any medical shtick excusing/making a case for circumcision - and, honestly, it bothers me that parents force this circumstance upon their children before they themselves can make the choice.

It's true that it's weird and it kinda sucks, but it's really not that big of a deal, I think. There are many more important decisions that are made for us before we're even born that hold way more weight than circumcision.

I don't know...

Do I have a high metabolism? I don't gain a lot of weight from eating, almost none. But from growing, like taller. (probably should drink a ton of milk, then)
I've been getting a workout from badminton in P.E. and archery and violin (though violin messes with my shoulders).
I should check my weight some time soon, to see if I gained any weight.

If you're growing taller most of the stuff you eat will be converted into energy for that. The important thing to remember is to give your body good quality resources to build with. So just because you aren't getting fat from eating a stack of fries doesn't mean it's good for you.

Your metabolism might only be high for the time being then slow down after you stop growing.

My foot stopped hurting and I went for a run with no issues. Maybe it fell out on it's own...

I might start running with the Girl's Basketball team since I'm an aid for the coach. He recommended it.
