No I think it's like

(_________(five feet)_______(spaceship)_________(five feet)_______)

And then the five feet on the left is turned into:
(_(five feet)_(spaceship)________________(five feet)______________)

And the ship moves along with the space?

Also, as for detecting areas of space where the warp can happen - I believe what he was saying was that they need to first detect these warp bubbles, but only for the sake of discovering how to generate them? Like we have to find them, figure out what sorts of conditions cause them, and then figure out how to make that happen.

Sprite lightning.

All this time spent browsing wikipedia in school instead of programming has finally paid off.

I think it's neat that NASA originally thought it was a freak occurrence and didn't know what the fuck to make of it. When they realized how common it was, they were a bit worried about what it might mean for things like planes flying near or over storms (since they cover a pretty large area at times).

They're definitely eerie though.

That's cool but is there a to scale version? This looks kind of weird.

But the sun would be like, a dust mite, unless you live in an imax.

I think he means in order to fit the entire solar system into the browser window, the sun would be incredibly tiny.

The planets would be outright invisible.
