Even knowing that exists, I wouldn't do it. Oh man, Adam Savage has balls.

I remember on that episode they tested it out with a hot-dog first.

On their first run the dog actually cooked, so they had to adjust the temperature. I don't think it was hot enough, so it didn't turn to steam quick enough for the effect to take place.

You know, it's pretty interesting that when you think about it "shape" doesn't exist on the fundamental level. There are only energy "barriers".

I've been thinking about buying a telescope to stargaze, but I have no idea where to start. Like, what model should I buy? Will I need a sextant? Different lenses? Also how much is this going to cost me?

Added to water I guess? Why do people feel the need to make shitty gifs out of everything.

My science teacher in high school did that with potassium in front of us and told us of one of her professor in university who was stealing stuff from the university's labs to build his own. He once hid potassium in his pockets and went home on his bike. It started raining and his pants burst into flames.

I know it's pretty impossible, due to the combination of radioactivity/rarity, but I really want to see the results of dropping Francium into water.

That would be first thought as well.

And then I realized why they restrict lab access to students during high school/most of college...

And then you get to college and the chemistry lab safety warnings are all a page long!

YAY college science!

My Chemistry class is p. cool.

We have these wireless clicker things we use to answer questions for bonus points. Usually there are three or four serious answers and a "smartass wiseguy answer" (as the professor puts it).

Anyway, one of the questions today was about the empirical formula.

The smartass answer was "The Empirical Formula is the second movie of the Star Wars trilogy."

best class

The problem with smartass answers is you will have people select them just because they want to be smartasses.
