That Pajama Sam thing reminded me of an old game we used to have called Nightlight or something. It starred a talking cat and dog and it was pretty bad nightmare fuel. You basically had an image of a room at night with all these creepy things but when you shine a light on them it turns out it's, like, a lamp or something
