Marcato, I don't know how serious you are but that's ridiculous. Nobody is saying Nintendo is above criticism, and that you'd imply that is what was said leaves me speachless. The 2DS is for a market that is widely different from the kind of video game fans that use the Internet, so of course most people there will not be interested. However, it is a nice alternative for another kind of customers, namely parents with young kids and not much cheddar. So, yes, there are people that want a 2DS.

I've noticed the age limit for using the 3DS's 3D function slowly rising as each year passes. I think Mario and Luigi: Dream Team had an age limit of 6, and I'm pretty sure the game before that had an age limit of 5.

Nintendo must be turning children boss-eyed at a progressively higher rate each year, so I guess this 'new' console is a way to try and avoid doing any more damage to the under 7's/8's/9's.

I rarely ever use the 3D function anyway so it's been a useless feature since I got the damn thing.

The 3ds user guides have always had a recommended age of 7 and up.

I'm just not understanding why I got backlash for an overly generalized statement meant as a joke.

I'm aware that there will be people who will buy a 2DS, but the point of the JOKE was to express my opinion that it won't be very popular compared to the 3DS.
