Yesterday I went to the Detroit Institute of Art , and found this to be my favorite painting that I had seen there.

Its just fantastic, I stared at it for a good ten minutes before I started to freak people out when I got insanely close to see its brushwork and details, which blew my mind.

Not to mention that this painting is HUGE, it spanned across the wall up to the ceiling, and it felt like I was walking right into it, which is a magically peculiar feeling when you are in an art gallery, and its a feeling I'm almost shy to share.

I remember going to an exhibition in Montreal consisting of nothing but amazing giant landscape paintings like that one.
