woke up and my fucking car is gone


Edit: Had to wait around for an hour for the leasing office to open. I called work and let them know I couldn't make it in today because shit sucks, and then I got to waiting. My neighbor was outside cleaning his porch so I asked if he saw anything.
"Does your car have Texas registration on the windshield?"
"Yes."
"Does it have the apartment registration?"
"the what"

Apparently when I signed the lease they were supposed to:
A. Tell me about how if you don't have the resident sticker on your car above your registration sticker on the windshield that your car is liable to be towed at your expense.
B. Give me the fucking sticker

So then I commenced waiting indoors. I washed some dishes. My roommate asked why I was still here, didnt I have work at 9:15????? I explained what happened and he remarked on how... calm and collected I was with handling this issue.
"You should be a 911 operator."
"Why?"
"You're super calm when other people would be have crisis-induced panic attacks."
"I guess."
(I actually just have the opposite of expected reactions to these things. In moments of crisis I'm stone-cold and focused. In moments of passing human life I have horrible anxiety and stress skyrockets and I just want to die)

So then the leasing office opened and I went over there and they checked their communications from the towing company and yes my car was towed. I explained the deal with the sticker how I never got one and the girl in the office opened my file and figured out that not only was I not given a sticker but whoever did my leasing paperwork fucked everything up. So the girl called the tow company and got the fees waived.

Then I called a Lyft ($5 off, woohoo) and my driver was a 50 year old English guy, which was unexpected. He was sympathetic to my towing plight and we had a pleasant chat on the 20 MINUTE DRIVE through downtown Dallas and out into the booty-end of nowhere. The highway was crumbling the further we got and the feeder roads were turning into dirt and gravel. The kind of town that hasn't seen paint OR a smile since the 1950s.
It was also the kind of town where the towing company office has bars on the windows, the windows are tinted so you can't see in, and they have like, electric alarm gates and stuff to let you in and out of the lot.

So I got my car back - it was sitting between two broken-booty looking """sports""" cars. Like what a 27 year old who works at McDonalds drives to pick up highschoolers - those kinds of cars.

And then I went to Whole Foods, because sometimes I like to pretend I'm middle-class. And I bought cashew butter.

So for a final project in my Intro to Comp. Science we get to design and code our own game. And while I would love to go above and beyond, my computer just hates the Processing program the Apples use at my school. I've tried downloading older versions and putting them under the AppData\Roaming section of my computer, and Processing will just open the loading screen and shut off still. I'm going to try the forums next, but if anyone has got any ideas (besides the "turn it off and on again" solution) I would greatly appreciate it.

facebook deleted my account because i advertised an animal sale (it was my daisies rabbitry account,) and apparently facebook is banhammering people hard for it because of pressure from ARAs like peta. i made a new account under a new email and not an hour later they've banned THAT account too.

i give up. i fucking hate facebook.

Fucked up my pre-recital jury something fierce. And my recital partner's teacher being a dick didn't help much.

The USB port on my new 3D printer got damaged and won't connect it to my PC.

Fucking dad decides today's the day to go and get his doctor checkup done, the day the people delivering our new washer were supposed to show up. Not only that, he left like three hours before they were even supposed to arrive and told me to just watch the house so that if they showed up they could get in and that some other person couldn't come over and rob us. This is already stupid but today was the only day I had to go and see a friend of mine from college before she left to go back to Texas and I had said that earlier that day but fucking who cares about me, I just gotta suck it up and deal while he goes pee in a cup two towns over.

And then because my sister had a freakout since he wasn't there (she's autistic and has trouble with people being gone for extended periods of time when they're not supposed to be) and I tried calling mom to help her calm down, dad starts shouting at me for "ratting him out" (he claims he told me specifically to not tell mom which he actually didn't do in like the three minute talk he gave me before running out the door). You know, I was fine with wasting a chance to see someone before they left for possibly forever since you really needed a checkup but goddamnit. I've never had the best of relations with my dad but it's never really been bad before, but this is fucking pushing it.

I got a reminder today so I'll pass it on to everyone else: Horseflies will BLEED YOU.

if you don't know, my parent whom is opposite my mother has a personal physical/emotional abuse history with me and all of my siblings

the sibling i have always most related to is my little brother. we used to be super tight

a brief background of child abuse:
my eldest sister was pushed down the stairs into the basement, she shortly moved out
my older brother was goaded into a fistfight so there was an excuse to kick him out. he moved out.
my older sister was emotionally abused and manipulated for 18 years. she moved out.
I was briefly suffocated as a child. i hid behind my mother for another ~14 years until we (me, mom, little bro) moved out
my little brother was choked - hands around throat fucking choked - just three years ago. as we were moving out

my little brother's as-of-late-April wife informed me that my little brother is reconnecting with my parent whom is not my mother and they're totally friends now


the men in my family are fucking idiots

my parent whom is not my mother has a long, detailed, and legally recorded history of "I'm totally changed I promise PSYCH HERE'S A FIST" and my older brother (who was always a cunt) fell for it years ago and now my little brother, the last sibling I was any sort of close to, is trying to befriend the biggest monster in our lives
