I am trapped at work with a horrible racist bully and I hate him.

Thanks but it's not me I'm really worried about, I feel so sorry for the guy I sat next to today. He's a POC and he apparently gets bullied every day it appears, I wanna help him out without escalating things.

This includes but not limited to: Throwing stuff at him, smearing spray paint on his face and shirt, punching him and talking about how his rights should not equal to that of a white person.

I really wanna help this guy but I fear the bosses are just so lenient that it'll only escalate things (the bosses are transphobic and sexist, so I question it very much).

I'm hoping this racist goes away soon, for the sake of the victim.

Not the first racist I met on this job, even befriended one until I found out.

I'm gonna talk about it tomorrow with someone who can pass it along with minimal backlash, hopefully.

Also, he does belittle me and punch me as his idea as a joke, so I suffer some of his behaviour as well.

If anyone says Iceland is better than others, then it's only on the surface.

No offense to the outwardly vikingish countries, but as far as I know people only really say nice things about Denmark? And also to Sweden for politics and Norway for nature, less so to everywhere else.

Does Finland count? Because I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Finland except "fuck it's cold here."

Valbrandur, can you call the police? Anonymously, if need be? Because that sounds like assault. And could you contact HR?

It's not serious enough to be considered assault, he doesn't cause any wounds.

Also yeah, I'm gonna talk to some people about the bullying, I just have to be careful to whom, because I know from personal experience how incompetent some can be in dealing with bullying.

Best of luck with that. And I'm not so sure this racist isn't subject to legal action. I'm not terribly familiar with Iceland's laws, but assault is still assault even if it doesn't leave any lasting injuries.

why do landlords choose to poison grass instead of mowing like normal people and using a weed eater to get around the edges of peoples' houses/fences/etc? my landlord has completely killed my ilies i planted in front of my house from spraying roundup on them when they aren't blooming. i even put stakes around them with little pinwheels so he wouldn't kill them but NOPE i guess that's not obvious enough that something is growing there. he also sprayed around the fence where my rabbits are now so now im having to watch them and make sure none of them start dropping dead :) it shouldn't be likely since he sprayed over 24hrs ago and they aren't really able to reach said grass, but still dude. stop fucking poisoning everything because you're too cheap and lazy to actually hire someone to do the lawns for you.

Mine in Florida was one of the cheapest people ever, and she'd cut every corner she could. She still had people come over with a lawn mower every other month. I had no idea people used herbicides to prevent grass from growing like that.

ugh yeahh the place i lived at before actually had a lawn crew but they were lazy af and p much just ran a riding mower half-heartedly around the yard then poisoned everything they didn't mow. sometimes. like i had weeds growing up to my waist (and i am 5'7" ok) for moNTHS and they wouldn't come handle it. finally after i think half the trailer park complained they sprayed roundup on everything and then our yards looked like shit because there were just big dead patches under the porches and around the perimeter of the houses. it looked fucking awful.

god my current landlord is just. at least he's a good guy because he is the laziest motherfucker. our street is riddled with potholes that he refuses to fix because 'they were gonna charge me like $1000 to fill them and that huge one that nearly blows out everyone's tires unless you go 3mph through it is kinda like a speedbump so its fine :)'. a fence in my yard is also bodaciously falling down and he won't fix it because it's too much trouble, so i get to have a trashy booty looking yard with this fence and the dead stump full of nails it's tied to (?? dont ask) that i have to cover with a piece of sheet metal so my dog doesn't run through it and escape and/or shred himself and die of tetanus. we even offered to help him fix the fence but he just was like 'eh i dont have time' (yes he does.) im just glad we own our trailer bc apparently his renthouses are held together with duct tape and prayers. like they're so jury-rigged it's not even funny bc he's too cheap to hire an actual repair guy to fix shit. like instead of putting a new tube in someone's microwave vent he just put a board over the hole so now they can't vent steam when they cook and he also just didn't try to cover it either there's lit a board nailed to their cabinets. it's awful.

im also mad bc the people on the other side of said trashy fence have piles of bullshit against it that is home for rats that come in my yard and fuck around in my rabbitry so guess who has a million traps out right now bc i keep seeing/hear them scuttling through that big booty hole where the stump is for SOME REASOn




why are landlords awful in general

Mom decided to get mad and stomp around for twenty minutes, criticizing everything about me when I was not able to immediately respond to her from the top of the stairs in my room when she was at the bottom of the stairs.

She couldn't find her spoon.

She can't seem to get it through her head that, no, hearing and understanding do not mean the same thing. Just because I heard someone doesn't mean I have the slightest clue what they were saying.

I'm autistic. She knows this, but she never once bothered to put any research into what that could possibly mean and acts like everything I have difficulties doing is a character flaw that is easy for me to overcome. I have so much input from every little thing that I can't tell what's going on unless I apply my full and undivided attention to whatever it is that requires my attention, and that means I can't simply shift focus from thing to thing without issue. If people start applying too much input, I get overwhelmed and have a meltdown.

Apparently, the person who spends all their time saying they'll clean up the trash around them while browsing Facebook and playing Candy Crush has free reign to questions what everyone else is doing that's so important that they cannot immediately respond the instant they're prompted.

So she just threw her food in the floor, made a mess of her sleeping area and stormed outside after I finally came down to try and figure out what she even wanted in the first place.

"Where is my spoon?!" I was asked. I had to ask what she meant. I did not have context.
"My spoon! It was on that plate you washed!" I reminded her that I never took a spoon with me.

She got so worked up that she just yelled about everything while I'm doing my best to keep a straight face and keep things calm and rational (which is something I have difficulties doing). I don't like being accused of things I didn't take part in.

She stormed outside. I decided to throw trash away that she had left all over the place.


Her spoon was on the serving tray in front of her TV.

Covered in garbage.



She has the audacity to imply I'm a trashy and lazy person when she lets stuff pile up for months at a time.
