I thought you could but it looks like in order to do so you have to sign out of your friends list. So you'd be offline from your other friends.

It might be worth it if this guy is going to throw a bitchfit at you though.

We ended up talking things over after I shared some of the input I received from sharing the conversation around with a few of my friends who are generally much better at understanding people than I am, and they all saw the same thing. So he's mostly just sulking about and feeling like the world's biggest jerk.

I installed CentOS on my second hard drive, and now GRUB seems to be refusing to find Windows on my first hard drive. I've always had to add in a new menu entry when first installing a new Linux distro, but this time, that doesn't seem to be doing anything. Pretty mildly frustrating. I'm sure I'm just making some dumb mistake somewhere, but I can't figure out where.

It should be cold and plenty of snow, but instead we got a late summer's night /early autumn weather. This shit is making me worry about global warming.

Twenty years, and Mom still refuses to take my very real concerns with food safety seriously to the point where she took some food that was supposed to be mine, ate a part of it, picked up a plastic knife that was just lying on her bed (of which she rarely washes the sheets or even bothers to get up from it, despite the fact that it is visibly covered in countless coffee and food stains) to cut off the part she bit into, and expected me to still eat it. She then made me go outside to get more stuff that was left on the porch, in the rain, because she was too lazy to bring it in on her own and refuses to make second trips when necessary. From there, I had an undefinable mix of anxiety, anger and depression that I should never, ever express in front of her as she would then break down into tears and try to make me pity her and feel guilty for the fact that I have emotions and the unavoidable reality that the things she chooses to do may, in fact, have an effect on those emotions, so I had to lock myself in my room and cry for and hour and eight minutes.

This is the kind of person that I bodaciously can't live without, and she wonders why I don't ever go to the store with her without my infinitely-more-considerate brother accompanying us.

I'd be a waste of space that can't contribute to anything relating to bills or whatever and can't hold a face-to-face conversation (or even be near anyone with an unfamiliar face), so that wouldn't work out.

Some weirdo creepazoid would not stop harassing our staff today. Dude was supposedly trying to print something, but didn't have the 25 cent for the fee or a library card to use the computers. We set him up with a card and ran him through our policies, but dude would not stop being an absolute sack of dicks, calling out staff all sorts of gross shit and asking nearby women for their home addresses. He went ballistic when no one would lend him some change, threatening to call the cops on us for not letting him have his way, and shouted at other people for not giving him the quarter. Shit climaxed when he legit hopped the desk and used the staff computers for all sorts of weird shit while the librarians where occupied with other patrons, we eventually had to call the cops to have them escort him out. He left before they arrived, but dude kept creeping on ladies all the way out the front door.

I just need to say that this image you've put in my head makes me feel unreasonably better.

I'm spending Christmas Eve with my stomach purging itself in any way possible.

I'd say it's a fitting end for such a shitty year.
Even had to get a doctor come to my home to check me out, it was so bad.

Yea there's a pretty bad stomach bug going around here too. Luckily, I've not gotten it yet, but nearly every customer I've had the past few days has complained about having it or their kid having it so I'll probably get it soon.

Fortunately, I scarcely interact with anyone aside from a mandatory twenty minutes of family time from across the room each day, so I'm not likely to get ill.
