After a straight year of wishing for a day off from work, I twisted my FUCKING ankle and won't be doing anything this weekend. Hooray?

If you don't need to use your twisted ankle much for your "day off", then hooray.
If you want to use your twisted ankle on your "day off", then sarcastic hurrah.

It really amuses me that there are still people who are offended at the idea that David Bowie did anything at all that was notgood.
We all know that if he didn't make music you enjoyed, you wouldn't care. We all know that if it was some random person off the street or a musician widely agreed to make bad music who had basically said "I didn't say Europe needed another Hitler I said it was ready for another Hitler which is totally different" you would actually be offended instead of going "But he provided a defense that was existent! That means he provided a good defense!" But it was someone you personally liked, so therefore you decided to feel personally attacked that "the SJWs" are aware of the existence of David Bowie doing that. Silly SJWs with their heinous act of David Bowie doing that.
Oh but no, it's because "You shouldn't speak ill of the dead". You should go easier on someone if they've bodaciously gone their entire life without apologizing. And of course, we all know that what you really mean is still "Don't speak ill of the dead that I liked."

I never heard anyone throwing a fit about anything David Bowie said or did. But if that quote is real, and not just an example (I didn't follow Bowie, as I wasn't interested in his music), then it seems to me that it could mean that, with the way things are in Europe, the situation could easily give rise to a new Hitler.

People get too up in arms about what celebrities say.

my dog ran away without a collar. he's microchipped but lmao i live at the edge of the country where nobody thinks to check that shit

i just hope whoever finds him doesn't abuse him or something lmao cos i ain't getting him back

edit: he got hungry and came home, which i honestly didn't think he'd do because he's disloyal af and doesn't seem to know like...where he is half the time lmao. rational mind figured it'd happen just because it's a common ...dog thing, but i have so many people telling me they'd steal him because he's a nice looking, well trained dog that if he had been gone overnight i'd honestly have just given up because someone had taken him. and this area is p much just...'ooh a dog it's mine now' without trying to find an owner at all. he's super lean too and most people would think he's underweight and assume he's a stray.

You should move to South Dakota, where you can watch your dog run away for two weeks.

Well, I have a feeling I'm gonna need a new job soon. After two months at one dealership, working in detail, you'd think, by now, that if I spend two and a half hours on a car, the first thing someone else would say when they look inside the vehicle would not be that it looks like it hasn't even been touched, as far as cleaning it goes. It's happened daisies near every time I cleaned a vehicle at Nissan, and it happened today at Honda.

It won't matter how many rags that I use that start clean and then look completely filthy afterwards, apparently I'm doing absolutely nothing while I'm working on a car.

Some rando called me claiming I had committed tax fraud (i think... they had a very heavy accent), but when I asked for more information they hung up. I looked them up, they weren't IRS. looked up my tax status and everything is in order. They haven't called me back and I reported their number to the IRS's scam/phishing site.

Thanks for terrifying me, dickhead scammer

I haven't gotten that one yet, but I get some talking about grants. I hang up. It's also a private number, so I can't report the number.

I don't have a phone. But at this point either scammers aren't trying or they think people are too stupid to recognize the fact.

Nigerian princes, anyone?

there's been a ton of IRS phone scams. some are from a person with a heavy accent and i've gotten some from a female-voiced phone robot. they're all trash. the irs won't call you if shit goes down, btw.

i pretty much never answer any number i don't recognize - especially if it's from a state i don't know anyone in. if they really need me they'll leave a message for me to call them back.

Because of moving, I have lost some pretty good elective options for school. Like semester long Piano. And I also have to do the summer reading and math in about 2 days. The goddamn summer reading. Not the worst, but I hate English with a passion. Not the Writing aspects, but Reading...

At least this year I get to do it. LAST year I was told that I wouldn't have to do it and the reading teacher expected it. The year before we did nothing with the summer reading.

Our AC is busted. It blows and blows but it's just warm air. We bodaciously got it fixed a month ago, except back then it wouldn't turn on at all.

God I'm so ready to move out of this apartment. Like I wasn't too sure when we first decided to move but now I'm hella glad we're about to leave. This building is just so old and it's wearing down. Even when things aren't breaking, they just look bad.

I have so much stuff in my mind I need to talk through but no one to talk about this stuff to. I feel like I'm going insane.
