AWKWARD ZOMBIE

Living in SoCal is too expensive so now I have to move 1000 miles away and leave what is more or less my ideal job.

On the flip side I'll be able to get into a 2 story townhouse with a basement for only $8-900/mo as opposed to $1800/mo for a 2 bed apartment.

Still peeved about the job thing, though.

Work wants me to work 55 hours this week, which would be a continuation of the 3 11 hours I worked last week. It's killing me and my relationship to have to go to bed at 8 to get up at 3. What's worse is I'm surrounded by people who have the innate need and desire for "more hours." Sailor Moon ended up having a nervous breakdown last night which, luckily, made it where I could view for the day off today.

And I'm just sitting here thinking how frustrating it is that Sailor Moon do having a nervous breakdown is the best thing to happen this week, because of work and their inability to figure out what they want to do with shifts.

I'm an incompetent piece of shit who should just never go out because I can't be trusted with anything. I prepared a USB stick to install Linux on my mother's computer and I stupidly decided to stop by a store for no reason before heading to my mother's house and I somehow lost my USB stick in the 2 minutes I spent there and didn't notice until I got to my mother's house and then I went back and looked for it for half an hour but couldn't find it. First fucking time I was using this 16Go USB stick I got from by boss for Christmas. I can't have nice things and now I'm in a pissy mood forever.

I was just starting to work on some assignments for my teaching cert (that I should have done a while ago) when I get an email from my field supervisor saying (among other things) "a few of you guys still need to turn in your assignments YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE" and it really, really annoyed me for some reason.

It's essentially the same feeling I got when I was a kid and decided to actually clean my room without being asked and then RIGHT THAT SECOND my mother walked in and told me to do it. Made me lose all my motivation. It's like, fuck you, I'm actively solving the problem, don't bitch to me about it.

It's frustrating when the only thing you can "do" to someone is wait for them to die.

My habit of biting the inside of my cheeks when I sleep has gotten worse. Woke up to a small puddle of blood under my face this morning and the taste of it in my mouth. After a couple minutes of panicking, I found an open cut where I usually bite down at. Guess I need to buy a mouth guard for when I sleep.

My sister's court date was today. They ended up not putting her in jail. Instead, they put her on house arrest, and she has to pay 80 dollars a week for it. Which means my mom will end up paying it for her which will make life harder for the rest of us. It also means that instead of going to her friends' houses to do her bad habits, she'll invite them here. Which isn't going to fly with me.

my sister decides on a whim she wants ducks, chickens, and a rabbit, and despite being told by THREE PEOPLE that it was a bad idea she buys them anyway and puts them in a 3ftx3ft dog pen (no bottom or top) with no food, no water, and no heat for the birds. which, by the way, that pen isn't even her pen, it's mine, because she didn't buy an actual pen/coop/hutch for them herself because she's apparently too fucking cheap. bear in mind she has almost no yard where she is now - there's maybe 10 feet between her house and mine - despite closing on a house in TWO WEEKS that contains over an acre of land.

i am 100% convinced the only reason she bought them is because she wants to take easter photos and would rather neglect living creatures than go without ~~~~~cute animal pictures~~~~~ this year (let's not even mention that i offered my rabbits to take said photos, but what fucking ever)

kyle went over and asked her if she had (insert long giant checklist of things ducks, rabbits, and chickens need to survive,) and of course she didn't have jack SHIT because she's a fucking idiot. and even after kyle telling her what she needed she didn't seem to care because 'shit's expensive' and just

YOU ARE PLAYING WITH LIVES. IF YOU FEEL LIKE PROPER CARE OF ANIMALS IS TOO EXPENSIVE, DO NOT BUY THE ANIMALS.

i give it a week before my freezer contains the corpses of lives wasted by an irresponsible human that absolutely knew better.

Call the humane society on her booty.

honestly it isn't fair to call animal control unless this continues for multiple days, and she at least gave them food and water finally. like she isn't STUPID (i mean she is but) she knows you have to feed animals, but like....she will only do the bare bare minimum for them because providing a decent life is work. and like really all i ask is the bare minimum but my bare minimum requires an actual enclosure, not half of a tiny dog kennel that isn't even secured down so that any raccoon or neighbourhood dog could knock it over and have a feast.

like my mom told her to go to the feed store and buy hay and rabbit food and she came back with nothing saying they were out and i KNOW she's lying because i was at the store MONDAY doing comparison on the rabbit food there lmao. but she knows i have food/hay/etc and thinks she can get it for free through me.



this really is just the culmination of several situations recently where people have come to me with animal advice and not taken it then asked me for charity to get them out of the shitty situation they could have avoided had they listened to me, and people taking advantage of me and treating me like their personal animal shelter, and i am tired of it. i'm just really disappointed it's my own sister who broke the camel's back.

Chronic conditions at work

"Hey guys, we handle the schedule! All you need to do is worry about getting to your posts on time!"

Meanwhile we got people showing up 4 hours early to posts which were already covered, not sure which post they're coming in to work, or who's gonna be relieving them at the end of shifts, and showing up at the wrong time because "That's what it said in the email."

Worrying about the schedule is the only way the schedule doesn't turn into a goddamn mess!

Work Crap!

So we have rooms that we rent out at the library, ranging from small two person study rooms, to big expansive banquet halls. I was sent to watch over an event tonight along with a coworker. However, thanks to the recent Library/Rec Department Merger, no one knows what the fuck is going on anywhere at any given time. It's been two hours and not a soul has shown up and the library is actually quiet for once. We've contacted our supervisor and he just told us to peace out, no one knows if the event cancelled, and we don't have a way of contacting anyone involved.

I've got this creeping dread that they're gonna start showing up as soon as we leave. Someone's gonna chew my booty out tomorrow and I have no idea who or why.

I keep getting sick and it's really pissing me off. I first got a cold about halfway through last month, then I got a fever a few days after getting past that, then I got another cold plus a stomach virus, then last week I had a sore throat and now I have a cold again. I've been not sick maybe 6 days out of the last month and a half. Maybe I'm dying. I feel like it's because I'm not getting enough outside exercise or something, but I don't stay unsick long enough to get any.
