Eh, I'm used to storm's if anything my power gets shot. Got everything I need fully charged and ready to go. Also no school for 2 days and probably not going into work as well. I can deal with it inside but you ain't getting me out in the hurricane unless I got a gliding suit dealie. Be a mother fucking flying squirrel.

Everyone could stand to take the weather more seriously when words like blizzard or hurricane are tossed around. People seem to get whiny and nervous any time it rains regular old water. Up that to hurricane winds or snow drifts and suddenly people absolutely have to go outside and get stuff done. I'm working tomorrow. There is undoubtedly going to be gobs of people who believe the proper response to inclimate weather being Wendy's. There will also be no bread or milk in any store, as perishable food items are apparently the thing to buy when there's a chance you might be stuck in your house for an extended period.

The only way the weather would ever make it where I won't go anywhere to do something is if it renders me unable to get anywhere unless it's via walking. If it's anything above snowing, then that'll include riding my bike. Then again, if anything that normal society would classify as a "Hurricane" were to happen they'd probably close down most of the stuff I'd have to trek outside to do.

Last week there was a slight downpour before everyone had to wake up (so it wasn't actually raining, it had just "rained" and the ground was just wet) and my 9 o'clock class was still only half full compared to what's normal.

Its cold and raining here and every school is shut down but my own.

I can imagine this will only have bad outcomes.

You're supposed to flip your trampoline over so that this doesn't happen :colbert:

Every time I see a trampoline / someone talks about their trampoline I start to miss mine. But then I realize that I probably shouldn't be jumping on a trampoline anymore anyway due to my heart condition.

Oh, how I miss my youth.

Ah, we used to imitate WWE style wrestling moves on my trampoline, good times. Poor thing was completely worn out eventually though.

Mine was so beat up in the end. Also Florida weather is brutal on anything that you leave outside for an extended period of time.

Knowing Florida, thats a good piece of advice. They get mroe than their fair share of hurricanes.

Maine though, Sandys going to miss us. Entirely -_-

Welp, power's flickered twice already and a tree outside looks like it'll keel over and take some power lines with it. Documenting the damage on photos. I'll upload them once I get back from the grid.

What about Arkansas, where it's illegal for the Arkansas River to be higher than the Arkansas River Bridge?
