I've noticed songs in other languages always sound nicer. Probably in part specifically because you can't understand the lyrics.

Since I like, don't understand Chinese at all, I always read the words in the video as if they were the lyrics to the song, even though I knew it wasn't. In my mind, since I didn't understand it, I made it where the artist was singing the song, as if it was something he wrote himself

Weird how it works like that.

Oh my gosh, I loved that. I saw it a while ago but I didn't remember it until I saw it. It's so beautiful.

This thread needs more sad things that aren't videos and audiofiles because my school has awful bandwidth or whatever.

On some occasions, I'll have dreams that are incredibly sad. I usually don't remember them after I wake up but they leave me feeling... pointless or something.

Here we go, I finally remember something baaaaww worthy

During my sophomore year of high school (3 years ago), I was in a carpool with three other girls. Two of them were friends with this girl I've seen in the hallway a lot. We talked once about costumes and she had seen some of the costume designs I made. She liked them quite a bit and had asked me to make her one based off the Queen of Hearts. I promised her I would do it.

She died in a fire two months later.

I remember that day. Forever burned into my memory. I recall one of the girls in my carpool picking up the phone then screaming "SHE'S DEAD. KATIE'S DEAD" and seeing the other girl crying in anguish. I didn't know for a second of who they were talking about. Then it hit me. I was hit with a horrible grief for a while. Then I realized I hadn't worked on the costume at all. I felt awful.

That day, I put down any homework I had and got a sheet of poster board. I did her costume design and had my mom drive me to the remains of her home. I left it there among the flowers and posters other people had left. The next day at school, some girls had a fund raiser for her younger brother; the only survivor of the fire. I didn't have much on me at the time, but I gave everything I had in my pockets.

I was driving home after school that day, and I noticed a sheet of paper flying on the road. As the car approached it, it hit the windshield.

It said "Thank you"

Last night, one of our high school alumni who graduated last year was murdered...almost a year after a junior and his mother were hit by a drunk driver (they were only innocently returning a movie to the movie rental store). It was all so horrible.

I just felt like sharing that because they were all such good people.
