Ya know, I had the same feeling.

Alright, I found some photos of my kitties. If it's one thing we all have in common with my family, is our obsession with our cats.

Except my dad. He prefers dogs.

This one's Shadow. She's pretty much become my cat since she sleeps in my room only and is pretty much obsessed with me.


Although not our pet, he's my Dad's Fiance's pet. His name's Bruno.
When I went to visit my dad's one vacation, I said to Bruno "Hello!" and he actually said hello back!
You know those cats that have a meow that sounds like words? Yeah, that applies here.

Sophie is my kitty. I got her when I was eight and she was about twelve weeks old. She's still so tiny. You should hear her meow. My God it's so adorable
Other than that, everything but the rats are family pets. Mika and Rika are mine. (I'm the only one in my family who ever has small animals for pets anymore.)

I'm gonna get a ferret when my rats die and fish when my newts die. And my newts could drop dead at any moment. They're like, eight or nine years old now.

I'm surprised that there is not more of a discussion about LIZARDS.

I have a Leopard Gecko named Nipper (Three guesses why) and she is so adorable--if you're wondering, she's NOT the Leopard Gecko that I had for my signature a while ago.

I have a gray tabby cat named Hopper who's fat but is oh so adorable.

Also my mom has a black Toy Poodle named Sidney. He's hyper and really small for being fully grown.

Pics later, I'm on my laptop right now and it doesn't have any pictures on it. I'd be on the comp in the guest room but Mom is in there right now doing stuff on the comuter there. -_-'

They will stay the hell away from each other at first. Whatever you do, pick up one cat and take it over to the other during this period of time. I did once. I had scars on my arms for weeks.

But after a few weeks they should get along fine.

It can depend entirely on the cats. Some cats are solo cats only and won't even tolerate the presence of another in the house. Some want to have more cats around and will be in the other cat's face immediately, trying to memorize its scent and make nice.

The general guideline is what Zink said: DON'T ever force them together. Introduce them to each other by showing it is in fact you bringing the other cat in, and that you aren't threatened by the new cat. If you've trained the first cat properly and you are the "leader", it won't freak out and attack the other cat unless provoked. After a few weeks, you can try bringing them closer together and they shouldn't become upset. But until then, let them do their own thing.
