I am laughing my booty off right now. Opened the 3DS games I got to register them for Club Nintendo. Luigi, Tales, Shin...wait a second.

There is no game in the Shin Megami Tensei 4 box. No manual either. Best bit is it was sealed and sold new from Best Buy, which means the error lies in wherever it was packed. So I've got the receipt now and I'll be making a trip to exchange it tomorrow.

Like the case was missing in the box, or the game cart was missing from the case?

Because that's really weird.

That's really odd. Probably just a mechanical error where the cart wasn't put in.

Hope everything goes smoothly with the return.

I got a whole load of Minecraft shit this year, including the awesomely well-made action figures, plus some warm socks which is the greatest thing ever for someone like me and my annual model car which I might not look at for the next decade

I also got Link Between Worlds and Pikmin 3, so that pretty much had me all set game-wise
AND I got Project X Zone and Wonderful 101, so I'ma see why everyone loves them

Got everything I needed and wanted. Power tools for work, a 2DS and some games, a TracFone, new Game of Thrones and PANK Floyd shirts, a mess of gift cards, and of course straight cash from the grandfolks. Drank eggnog, ate roast, played Risk, had a good time.

I have to work tomorrow.

Went to my parents for a small Christmas. We don't do big ones anymore because there's just too many family members. My family enjoyed their gifts, dad put the mini green house I got him to use immediately.

I received an easel, a wok and Asian cuisine serving set, a dip serving set, Starbound, Trine/Trine 2, a really nice 2014 Diary, and my sister also got me a set of Clow Cards (we watched like maybe 10 episodes of Carcaptor Sakura together as kids) and an Anbu mask.
Listing it out like that feels like a lot!

Went Boxing Day shopping for the first time in a few years. Tried to go early but mum and sis took over an hour to get ready. Despite making it to the local Westfield (big mall) by just after nine, the parking lot was still packed. There was a lady just next to us in the turn lane to head into the parking lot, she turned to us or at least in our general direction and made a big 'Eurghhhh!' face in regards to the parking.

Mostly picked up discounted Christmas decor, but also got a little cupcake maker for $6 and a nice calendar for $5.

One of my Christmas gifts was a PS3 with four games
One of my brother's gifts was this Image
Guess what I (and the rest of my family, actually) played with the most so far.
If you can't tell what that is, it's a toy where you try to guide a ball through as many obstacles as possible.

My list was mostly some weird stuff like tips for my tablet pen or a very specific discontinued DVD-RW drive, some games, and a Wii U or a computer monitor as pipe dreams.

I wound up getting the monitor, which was good since my old one was on its way out.
Got Link Between Worlds, plus a very recently released Steam game called Teslagrad.
Got a sweet purple shirt I've wanted for a while, some really nice pajama pants, and a t-shirt.
Got the tablet pen tips from my grandmother.
There was a fair bit of weird assorted stuff, notably an Ocarina from a ren fest, all 14 episodes of Firefly on DVD, and some candy-coated popcorn. (which, for personal reasons, means it's time to play sonic 06 again)

My sister bought me a blasphemous Star Wars Lego set because she's a dick. (She bought me Borderlands 2 as an early, serious Christmas gift a while ago is the reason)

I mostly gave people chocolates, but Tekla got Link Between Worlds and I sent my dad and stepmother Oblivion and Fallout 3 (who knew Bethesda released a 2-pack?) for Xbox 360. I know Tekla's having fun with LBW, and there's no way my stepmother at least won't get hooked on Fallout like crack.

parents got us an electric fireplace, an ornament with deer on it that i can put a photo in, an "our first christmas" ornament with a wedding photo in it, and a key-shaped ornament that says "new home" or something like that on it, and a christmas ball that looks like a yarn ball with needles in it (!!!!), a jar of curry, a vintage cookie stamp with a kitty on it, and a set of binoculars so we can do some birdwatching! we have a feral parrot that lives in our new neighbourhood we like to keep tabs on haha. plus some sicks, a snowcapped toblerone, and some other little stuff like that.

sister made us custom coasters with photos from our wedding and they're /gorgeous/

parents bought hoxton a big rawhide candy cane (which he's eaten half of already lol yay pits), a cow horn (which he also demolished half of,) a fetching stick, and a blinky reflector/light for his collar when we go hiking or discing at night, and the kitties got some christmas catnip mice and two cans of their favourite canned foot.

kyle's dad bought us a shotgun, ammo, two sets of earmuffs (like, ear protection ones for shooting at a range,) and eye protection, as well as a gun bag to carry it in and a really nice ammo bag/rucksack.

kyle got his dad a sweet hawaiian shirt, colby a nice dress shirt, and his mom a wax candle + wax that smells like christmas tree. i went half with my sister on some designer sunglasses for my mom, dad got a $50 lowe's gift card and some cordial blueberries and cherries, and i got my sister a cute snack platter that matches her christmas stuff. i bought kyle two shirts for his birthday (the 23rd) and had them sent to mom's but she forgot to give them to me so they were his christmas present instead haha.

of the gifts we FORGOT to get, i knit kyle's mom a scarf and forgot to bring it to her, and we were going to buy mom an otamatone (she loves annoying instruments) but forgot. gonna do those things when we can. mom needs her irritating musical fix.
