My mom listens to the Yoshida Brothers, and I've heard it, and it's pretty good.

In fact, their song "Kodo" is the "Wii would like to play" background music. Fact.

That is a lean towards the fact that he's correct. 8D

I think to be "noteworthy", someone has to have heard of them other than Lawliet, Merlin, and Japanese people.

I'm not saying their music is bad. But I can totally see how by Unge's standards, Japan don't got no Chopin.

I am a HUGE fan of Japan, though not to the degree of being a Japanaphile... Hopefully.

I love the anime, I love the food, most of my favorite video game series come from there, plus I'm very interested in their culture. I speak the language somewhat, also.

Got to go last summer for free through school. Sure... I'll have to pay back the student loans laaater, but who cares about that now?

Things that I liked about Japan:
Food was awesome - best produce I have ever had, cheap sushi, etc.

cheap goods: not like clothing, but things that you would spend $40 here was like 200 yen. If I go back, I'm just gonna buy a bunch of stuff to sell on ebay. I'm sure living expenses are very high, but when you are just visiting, you don't have to worry about bills.

bikes: comfy bikes that are hard to find here are all over there

Attempt to speak Japanese and they LOVE you. Once you get really good at it though they don't care.

Trains. America sucks for not using them as much. Japan is about the same size as the whole east coast and I could cheaply get from one side to the other on a nice clean train.

People don't try to steal things. Left my backpack that had a few electronics in it somewhere, went back to the place, and it was entirely untouched.

Things I didn't like:
Sometimes food made me almost vomit. That happens though.

It's a LIE when they say they eat mostly fish. You get no fish selection in restaurants. If you would be vegetarian it would be impossible. Most people I met didn't understand the concept of vegetarianism..

Recycle, don't reuse: My cousin had to sell her huge house to the bank because nobody would buy it. All of their furniture they would either have to give to people or throw away, because nobody wants to buy almost new furniture.

Animal Abuse to the EXTREME!: yeah. Don't touch any pets. They are probably sick and have parasites. We only ever saw one veterinarian the entire time we were there. The fact that they sell exotic animals to people (like monkeys and prairie dogs) should be a red flag. The zoo was very very very depressing. The Wallaby's didn't even have ears because they had too many mites.

As a consumer, I like Japan. But a lot of their customs and values clash with mine, so I couldn't live there.
