I still think the weirdest guy in TP is Malo. Seriously, how could a baby talk, even more handle shop business? ARTIFICIAL BABY HAX :awesome:

But then who's the weirdest in OoT?

NO FAIR. Link's always the weirdest. I mean, OMG how is there a person with no voicings but battle cries? And the Zelda verse even turns upside down cuz of him.

I meant like, maybe an NPC? :psyduck:

Then Poe dude. Or maybe that creepy pedo professor at hyrule lake.

Professor. :awesome:

Poes are weird, but they're just the natural ghosts.

The professor lives alone, working on aquatic animals. REALLY AWKWARD because the lake is probably the only biggest water source thar anyway. WHY UNLEASH A SQUID, PROFESSOR?!?! :science:

Weirdest in OoT? Everyone was weird. But the rancher guy who's name eludes me right now was weird. I mean, c'mon. And the gorons were painfully weird.

I thought it went Forest --> Fire --> Water. :|

Same here.
It does, they just created the game (probably accidentally) in a way where you can do them out of order if you so choose.

Like I said, all you need to complete the water temple first, besides the long shot, is bombs and the bow for only one of those eye switch. and besides, it's actually helpful to have the longshot before doing the forest temple, because it allows you to shoot those GODDAMN SKULLTULAS CRAWLING ON THOSE VINES THAT ARE OUT OF YOUR REACH WITH YOUR HOOKSHOT! *rageragerage*

You could do the fire temple first without needing anything from the forest, which is probably why more people do it first, instead of running around and getting all the crap you need for the water temple, like me. :awesome:

Also, I always made a point to get everything I could (Epona, Biggoron's Sword, Zora Tunic, etc.) before doing any of the dungeons. It just made things easier.

Edit: Oh right, I forgot to point out; Anyone ever notice in the menu screen, when you have all the medallions (or almost all of them anyways), spirit is placed before shadow? :psyduck: I always thought that meant you had to get the spirit medallion first, which you very well could, but... they put that cutscene of
Kakariko burning and everything before you ever go near the spirit temple (well, unless you knew to go there and went there purposely), and Shiek teaches you the melody for the shadow temple then.
That just always confused me...

I mentioned this. :x If there's one place that you should not try to dodge fast spiders, it's on an unstable vine wall.

Meh, I usually just roll with the game and get what I need to get when I get to it. I find it better than wasting my time and busting my booty trying to make sure I have everything before I even slay my first Wolfos. :/

Those goddamn Wolfos...

OoT, it was scary.
Redeads.
Dead hands.
Skullutas.
The skulluta house *shudder*
And water.
Yes, I was scared of the water, I was scared of water in videogames in general back then, I'll never understand that fear since I had no fear of water in real life.
Yet surprisingly, the water temple didn't scare me...
And for some reason I thought there was a shark in lakeside house.

I knew someone did, but I was too lazy to go back and check.

And I've found you bust your booty less getting certain items first instead of just rolling with the game, but that might just be me. I find taking the time to get the Biggoron sword is easier than having to hit things more times with the Master sword, although you do get a shield when you wield the Master sword... but I never bothered blocking either.

You can even feed it fish! :awesome:

Two favourite past times of mine on OoT is pissing off cuckos and then jumping into the bottom of the well as an adult, and trying to see how far I can make it out before they hit me (I actually made it out once), and of course, hitting the main skulltula-person in the Skulltula House and then slashing them while they swing from side-to-side. They hit me if I talk to them without leaving and coming back in, but their screams of pain are so worth it.

Wait, in the water with the heart piece?
I remember a heart piece being in there, and I thought a shark was in there.

There is. Turn aroun and it's behind some bars. It's just a cardboard cut-out graphic, but there's still a shark.

Huh...well I always thought it would attack me.

I thought the Skull Kid would attack me the first time I saw him.

Then again, I was an adult when I first saw him. :awesome:

He WILL attack you.

:awesome: Sequel.

Okay, so. I like Water Temples. I will admit the one here in OoT was pretty complicated, and its boss battles weren't very fun. But I didn't find it very frustrating. I liked being underwater and taking off and putting on my iron boots so I could jump around underwater. It's the closest we'll ever get to Roc's Feather in a 3-D Zelda game. But I still liked the mechanical aspect of the Great Bay Temple, and felt super-smart when I figured it out. :awesome: The water dungeon in TP wasn't as good, though. It was clever, I guess, but not as good as Great Bay.

Okay, what else... I read all five new pages of this thread at once, soo...

Volvagia was for some reason the hardest for me. Phantom Ganon was fun, though. The first time I played through, I just sat in the corner where he couldn't hit me and shot arrows, and mostly missed. I really hate fighting bosses that way, like in the Snow Head Temple, I just stood in the doorway and shot arrows whenever Goht came around. I know, that's a terrible thing to do. And it took FOREVER. Luckily, I could refight that boss battle. Another great reason you should go play Majora's Mask. And Twinrova was a very fun boss fight. It was one of those where I would take a ton of damage in the beginning, have three hearts left, then never take another hit the whole battle.

Also, there was one Golden Skultulla in the Water Temple that just confused me. There was a gate you open by hitting a switch, but the switch was on the other side of the gate. All I could think of to do was use a spin attack to hit it. :/

As for a favorite temple? I guess I'd have to go with the Forest Temple. It's still not as good as The Great Bay Temple and the Stone Tower Temple, though. <3
