Michigan. Is that north enough?

If it's still there, you could try soaking your foot in hot water for a while. It'll soften the skin and mmaayybe it'll make the glass come closer to the surface? I don't remember how it helps, but it does

North as in northern hemisphere. I'd say that, yes, Michigan is north.

Combine that with Aspberger's Syndrome. Ugh.

Asperger's Syndrome is a socially-effecting disorder (oftentimes it impairs social cues), and being social sometimes helps with lowering depression, such as that from Seasonal Affective Disorder.

So, basically, Terra's saying they've gotten the double whammy of "Winter sucks".

Besides which, change can be especially hard on people with Asperger's. Weather changes, changes to routines (DST sucks massively to many people), even the general changes of the seasons (the way people act, the trees being bare, more storms making less sunlight, etc.) can affect people giving them undue stress that can exacerbate other problems.

That's pretty much what I was going for, yeah.
Going through the first three months of the year is never fun, especially since there's no telling how I'll react to the weather changing. This year, I downright refused to go to school about once a week the entire third marking period.

As I see it you've got three alternatives
1: Probably the smartest, get a doctor to look at it, he'll probably make a small cut into your foot and grab the piece, sow it together and you'll be fine in a day or two.
2: "Home surgery", I've done it a lot myself with varying results, how confident are you with a knife? 8)
3: Leave it, your foot will get inflamed and try to push the piece out of your body. This hurts a lot and you won't be able to walk properly, so wouldn't recommend it.

I usually go look at things that make me feel good, like cute things, feminine stuff, and good nature photography. Reading and watching pop flyin' stories that actually happened help me too.

Took my Adderall this morning so I could get a bit more concentration (I've been trying to ween myself off of it because I can pretty well function without it), and suddenly my heart is pumping syrup. No cheddar for coffee either.
