No.

You just have two wet blankets.

Well, technically if one wet blanket is wetter than the other, depending on the positioning, the first would either get wetter (water seeping down) or drier (water getting sucked up) to complete an equilibrium. May not be much, but it'll happen.

So guess what bitches, it's a wet blanket party and I'm all in.

It seems odd to be called a wet blanket for insisting that the world isn't going to end.

You're 50% water, and you can be used as a covering in case of emergency or death. Face it, we're all wet blankets.

So then technically, if you wear a blanket, whether dry or not, you're going to have at least one wet blanket on the situation at all times?

Who would do this?! I can never have a good time ever again!

I dunno, man, my town got an eighth of an inch of wet snow on the grass and kind of a little bit of black ice on a few sidewalks maybe-- I'm starting to worry this might be a legit apocalypse situation. I'm willing to bet that at least three people will slip and bruise something today. Society is going to hell and this is just the beginning.

I hear we're getting some real frost tomorrow. The meteorologists say it'll thaw the next day but WHAT DO THEY KNOW?! It's the start of a new ice age, I'm sure of it.

There has been no bread available in the store here for days, the human race will surely starve to death.

He said it's all just a big misunderstanding regarding the end of the current Mayan calendar and that when the current Mayan calendar ends (on the 21st) all that happens is another calendar begins.

So the world is going to end but a new world will rise from it's ashes?

There's going to be a lot occurring in our galaxy actually.

You're correct, it's going to be a shift into a new cycle, but the Mayan's calender keeps track of a highly complex system of cycles within cycles. This moment tomorrow will be special because it is when EVERY ONE of those cycles meet at a point. This happens like, every 20,000 years I think? I said 200,000 years before but I was incorrect.

So not only will our solar system be aligning with the sun perfectly, we'll also all be aligned with the equinox of the Galaxy, a stream of bursting energy that explains the amount of solar flares the sun has been giving off this year and accounts for it being at it's most active since we've been recording it.

How this pans out is unsure but it likely means we'll be getting a ton of energy radiating throughout our solar system. I can't give enough details about it so I suggest everyone search for themselves if it intrigues you enough. Saying nothing will happen is a gross misrepresentation of the galactic clock that is reaching a peak at this moment. This is a very very very special time. What an adventure!

You know, I never understood how the Mayans could make such accurate calendars and astronomy charts without any equipment. I mean, they didnt even have telescopes, did they chart everything with the naked eye?
