I turned 20 this year, which caused absolutely nothing different to happen.

Too bad you dont live in Sweden, here 20 is the legal age to buy booze in stores. Its 18 for bars though, but bars are for suckers and teenagers.

You don't buy booze in the US, you steal it or get it from friends.

I realize that, but being 21 will make acquiring it less a pain in the booty.

Oh lord yes, the faint desperation of aquiring booze before legal age, I remember it well. Dark dark times, you drank whatever you could get ahold of, taste didnt even enter the picture. Not that Im picky now either, but getting beer before I turned 18 was a horror show. Didnt even have a drunkard uncle or anything that could buy for me.

My roommate and I have a friend who's 21, but he's flakier than a french breakfast pastry.

That and he's got richer tastes that the show Downton Abbey, so it's hard liquor or bust. That's not necessarily a bad thing it's just...he's also got the weirdest taste in hard liquor.

He's the only person I know who likes Cotton Candy vodka.

Someone tried to give me chocolate-flavored vodka. I almost threw up on the spot.
