That reminds me of a dishwasher at a place I used to work. They got rid of the faucet hose and replaced it with an actual garden hose to rinse off the dishes before running them through the machine. It had higher pressure, hotter water, and didn't get in the way as much as the old hose did, but this guy was in love with the old one. He threatened to quit if they didn't bring it back, believing that he was too important to let go. I got his job.
