Cockfighting Society is a good card game that everyone should get into.

Unfortunately, expensive cards abound.

With games like game of thrones, netrunner, or lord of the rings they are all LCGs ,living card game, so each pack has 3 copies each new card and you know exactly whats in the packs. So no holo foil cards or cards that are hard to find.

Lets see how far $400 (about 4 months or so for me) will get you in each game.
Yugioh: a complete meta deck with plenty of holos and staples

Magic: Every card you need to make a meta deck for a year

Lotr: Every cardx3 and about 200 extra for sleeves or whatever.

Netrunner: everything in the gamex3 for like $50

Game of Thrones: Almost every card x3

All five of the guild mechanics in Gatecrash have been spoiled.
Simic: Evolve
Gruul: Bloodrush
Boros: Battalion
Orzhov: Extort
Dimir: Cipher
Spoilers ahoy.

Depends on which cards get cipher. If we get a good draw spell, then I'll agree, but I don't think stalker really want's this specific card. Drawing a new hand is amazing in red, but sucks in blue.

Wow. Gatecrash mechanics look a lot more interesting and or useful than the RTR ones. I mean, Cipher is basically a black-themed Populate, and Evolve looks like a stackable version of Overload.

And hot daisies, dat Bloodrush.

Extort is so perfect, it's like it's made for assholes like me with a lot of mana and a lot of obnoxious ways to life drain.

Also, I've been playing a lot of Egyptian War lately, is this the thread to talk about that

What? Cipher is nothing like populate and evolve is nothing like overload.

Oh yay my Selesnyan Knight deck runs great! I'm consistently beating people that used to be really hard to win against.

Also I bought a friend of mine a boosterpack to make up for a lunch he bought me a few days ago. He pulls a freaking Grove of the Guardian. I needed that. ;A;

Going to Gatecrash pre-release next weekend.

Going ORZHOV for constructed and my roommate and I will both go DIMIR for Two-Headed Giant.
We will mill ALL THE MOFOS.

Apparently I'm the only one getting an Orzhov box during that tourney.
Gives me advantage Y/N?
:psyduck:

Orzhov has some of the more subtly powerful cards. From their charm to their guildmage to their board sweeper (My Esper deck could really use it), but their game looks a little slow to me. Still, when your mana fixer turns into a 1/4 and straight up stops or trades with most of the other keyrunes, you can probably get away with a slow game.
