@incest, you have to keep in mind that the chance to inherit a recessive genetic disorder decreases exponentially the further related you are. So screwing your sister isn't on par with screwing your third cousin.

Ok, well, yes, not "on par" bodaciously, but definitely comparable. There's very little chance of you finding a relationship with someone where the chances of you inheriting a recessive disorder is 0%. Now note that "recessive disorder" isn't necessarily restricted to things like cystic fibrosis or cycle cell, it includes inheritable inherent immunities to diseases that we barely know about because if you're old enough to read this comment, you don't even have to care to know about them because you've already survived the hotspot of infancy, where these diseases like to chill.

So basically, the safest relationship you can find is with another male...or another female...or your dog even (no chance of that ending in an awkward phone call). Most of the taboos in the human world are founded by something in science, but are overreacted to the point where we're basically selling all of our possessions and getting our affairs in order because the doctor told us we had laryngitis.

IIRC, we have built-in instincts to not have incest. So anyone who does have incest is seen as really weird, which is why it's taboo. Also almost all taboo is for no good reason, at least incest has one.

Is that why everyone hates royalty? It could just be the whole "taxes!" thing, but you never know. That kinda shit adds on.

It was a live feed of the convention at Geneva. Obviously it's not still going on after 12+ hours.

Small question: Who thought it was a good idea to post a life feed link in a thread designed to last until either the end of days, or the day Great Handsome Oppressor goes on a thread deleting rampage (whichever comes first)?

It's a boson believed to be the Higgs Boson. So far it matches the criteria they set for it, but they don't know if all of its properties are the same as the theoretical Higgs Boson (because so far they've only detected its existence. They haven't even been able to run tests and experiments on it), and if they aren't, there may be some other particle out there that explains that.

Basically, it could lead to a Planet X situation (They discovered Uranus and thought something massive was tugging at it and ended up finding Neptune, but then thought something was tugging Neptune and found Pluto, only in this case, Pluto wasn't the cause of the tugging, rather, the tug was attributed to a wrong calculation of Neptune's mass) , where they found what they were looking for, but there's still a piece of the puzzle missing.

The dude's got some valid points regarding inadvertent traces of chemicals, but there's no way the government wouldn't establish minimum concentrations for these things.
Hanging out with stoners before a flight could be a bigger problem, especially if you don't know they're stoners. Hopefully required concentrations will be high enough that you should be okay if your stoner pals are clean enough for it to not be apparent when you hang out with them.

Aren't there small traces of coke on pretty much every bill? I don't know for sure I got that off of CSI, and they could be full of shit for all I know.

There might have been at one time, but by now any traces would be infinitesimal.
