"Well, one thing's for certain. The signs of a struggle are almost certainly fake. Or at the very least, unrelated to the case."

"We don't know that it was Joe who killed him. I'm just trying to form how it could have worked out."

Sorry, I am back. I was invited at the last minute to hang out with people I haven't seen in months for the day and didn't want to be on my phone responding all day because that'd be rude.

Trial Time

The doors to the town hall open and you enter to see 12 podiums arranged in a circle in the center of the room. Against the wall by the front door are 6 seats, each of which has a town member in it: Copper, Booker, Kapp'n, Franklin, Timmy, and Tommy. Tom Nook sits in a fancy chair over the proceedings behind a desk with a name plaque that says "The Mayor". Joe is already at one of the podiums, handcuffed to it to prevent escape.

Once you all file into the Town Hall, the doors slam shut and and are deadbolted.

"Welcome! You bastards are here to figure out silenced your fellow villager, Bud. If you can't find out who killed him, it's execution time for all of the innocents."

"But before we get to that, I'd like you to meet the person in charge of keeping these trials on track..."

From behind Tom Nook, a dog walks out and gives a small, sheepish smile and waves.

"Hello villagers. I'm Isabelle, and I'm the Super High Villager Level Secretary."

"I work pretty closely with the mayor, and have a very demanding job, but my skills allow me to sort through information efficiently."

"I already know what actually occurred last night, but as per the Mayor's rules, I cannot tell you or give you hints at it."

"Instead, I am here to direct the conversation in a productive and... entertaining way (Please don't hold it against me;;)"

She stands at the twelfth podium, then seems to remember something.

"Oh right, I need to set up the places for the other villagers..."

She walks over and sets up a stand-in for Bud and the Unknown Villager.

"There, now our fellow town members are with us in spirit." she says, a little bit of sadness twinges her voice."

"When you're ready, I'll explain the rules."

She motions for you all to take a place at the podiums with your names on them.

Pierce walks around the circle and find the podium with his name on it.

"Let's get this over with...."

Diana searched for her name, stepping up to it. She glances around the room, eyes settling out in front of her.

Whitney stepped up to her podium and glanced around, watching the others take their places.

according to Kamak, i've been with you all along.

A sleepy looking Coco takes the stand.
