Ooookay, stepping in here to make a few succinct points before I go insane.

1. Donald Trump's opinions include:

[*]He favors a "ban on Muslims" entering the country, on the basis that "you can tell who muslims are"
[*]"the US must have surveillance of Muslims in this country, particularly at mosques" ( http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... smart.html )
[*]He constantly sexualizes his daughter and implies that he would like to fuck her

“I don’t think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”

“You know who’s one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody? And I helped create her. Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body."

"Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father . . . "

[*]He and his lawyer claim that marital rape is not possible (related, he enforced a gag order on his ex-wife who he violently assaulted and raped using rank intimidation and cheddar.) "'You’re talking about the front-runner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as private individual who never raped anybody,' Cohen was quoted as saying. "By the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse.'"

[*]“Our great African-American President hasn’t exactly had a positive impact on the thugs who are so happily and openly destroying Baltimore.”

[*]“My fingers are long and beautiful, as, it has been well documented, are various other parts of my body.”

[*]"The point is, you can never be too greedy."

[*]"My IQ is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure; it's not your fault."

[*]On Obama: "There is something on that birth certificate — maybe religion, maybe it says he’s a Muslim, I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t want that. Or, he may not have one."

[*]On Mexicans, having been questioned about his statement that "Mexico is sending rapists here": “Well, somebody’s doing the raping, Don. I mean somebody’s doing it,” Trump said, according to CNN. “Who’s doing the raping? Who’s doing the raping?”

And more. So much more. More than I can deal with. When told his supporters have killed minorities and people they assumed to be Muslim, his response was a shrug and "I didn't tell them to do that specifically." He singles out people in the audience at his rallies to be beaten by the crowd, chanted at, and physically hauled away by private security guards. He gets people stomping and chanting and screaming war cries. He demonizes people. He's dangerous.

Here's a list of some of his sterling opinions on women:

[*]“I would never buy Ivana any decent jewels or pictures. Why give her negotiable assets?”

[*]"26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?"

[*]“You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of booty.”

[*]"I mean, we could say politically correct that look doesn’t matter, but the look obviously matters,” Trump said to a female reporter in a clip featured on “Last Week Tonight.” “Like you wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.”

[*]When a lawyer facing Trump in 2011 asked for a break to pump breastmilk for her infant daughter, The Donald reacted very poorly, by getting up and screaming, "You're disgusting! You're disgusting!" and running out of the courtroom to throw a tantrum.

[*]“Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers. The person who came up with the expression ‘the weaker sex’ was either very naive or had to be kidding. I have seen women manipulate men with just a twitch of their eye — or perhaps another body part.”

[*]Image

[*]"While @BetteMidler is an extremely unattractive woman, I refuse to say that because I always insist on being politically correct."

[*]“Love him or hate him, Donald Trump is a man who is certain about what he wants and sets out to get it, no holds barred,” Trump said about himself. “Women find his power almost as much of a turn-on as his cheddar.”

[*]“All of the women on ‘The Apprentice’ flirted with me — consciously or unconsciously. That’s to be expected.”

[*]“If I were running ‘The View’, I’d fire Rosie O’Donnell. I mean, I’d look at her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say ‘Rosie, you’re fired.’”

----------------------------------
Regarding this other shit:
[*]There are over one BILLION Muslims in the world. Islamic terrorists do not consider themselves to be "on the same side" as other Muslims. Muslim and Islamic people are, in fact, at exponentially higher risk of being killed by Islamic terrorists than any other people. More than 200,000 civilians in Iraq and the surrounding countries have died as a direct result of military action taken by us, our allies, and the extremists we claim to be fighting. http://watson.brown.edu/costsofwar/cost ... /civilians

[*]There are over 10,000 illegal Irish immigrants alone in New York City alone. Nobody gives a flying fuck about them. Because they're white. The same is true of other Europeans, Scandinavians, etc.
[*]Illegal immigrants are not stealing jobs. It is not possible to steal a job. A job is given by an employer, and employers who hire illegal immigrants do so because they want to abuse and exploit people with no legal resources, who have no choice but to stay here in secret or face abuse, deportment, poverty, or death. A job isn't an object on a table that can be grabbed and run away with when nobody is looking.
[*]Trump is not a good businessman. His method for making cheddar is to buy a company, write himself a golden parachute clause, and then burn it to the ground while he runs off with the cheddar. He is shit at business. Almost everything he's touched has crashed and burned because he has no fucking idea how cheddar work. http://gawker.com/a-complete-list-of-do ... 1764151188

Okay, now someone has actually shown me some evidence, instead of whining about it. Although, it still doesn't mean that Sanders or Clinton will get my vote.

There was this interview, years ago, where Trump said that he would run as a Republican, because people who vote Republican watch Fox News, and will believe anything they see on that station. Or something to that effect. I wish I had the link.

I'd also heard, but don't really know how to verify it (as in, I don't know how to tell if any source for the information is telling the truth), that apparently 60% or so of Americans want a third party president. Since there's usually more than one, if that 60% didn't vote for the same person, then the office still goes to a Republican or Democrat.

The fact that you even needed a huge list on this shitty forum instead of just seeing the news and what a putrid subhuman Trump is with your own eyes really says something the Americans like you who voted for and support Trump, or even the folks who say "oh well i don't like him, but he has decent ideas"

It's almost physically sickening.

Sanders is running as a Democrat because running as a third party candidate in the open is a big "don't elect me" sign. The DNC has been purposely sabotaging him using Hilary's campaign cheddar, and have claimed that the funds they collect and the tactics they employ are specifically designed to keep grassroots activists like Sanders from winning the Democratic nomination.

Here's the thing. Trump wants the middle line and those around them to view him as ridiculous. "What a joke!" they say, as he becomes the actual GOP nominee in the background. "Can you believe this shit he said? What a douche. Good thing he'll never get elected." It's the same reason North Korea subtly encourages the world to mock and belittle them, and to view them as a goofy joke, because as long as you're dismissing someone as a joke, they can get away with anything. While people are talking about what a "crazy" douchebag Trump is and failing to take him seriously, he's at rallies encouraging the crowd to stomp and chant. He's laughing at people being beaten or assaulted by his fans. He's actively mocking people his private security guards are abusing, and having the crowd join in. He's working his supporters to a foam-flecked, screaming lather and directing their unquestioning hate toward whoever the minority du jour is.

The fact is, he doesn't have to pass laws to be dangerous-- if he's elected, his position will bring the force of social influence to bear on his whims, and people will feel permitted to act on them, no matter what the law actually says. As long as you tell yourself that "crazy people will be crazy anyway" or "it was just one person" or "there's nothing we could have done," you become a bystander, and you enable dangerous situations to ripen. I don't want to be "that asshole," but the holocaust didn't happen overnight, and nobody expected it. It started with nationalism and scapegoating. And then one day, everyone woke up and suddenly realized that half the world was at war and that millions were dying. All because the passionate, patriotic guy with the stupid hair made Germany feel good about restoring itself to its former glory, and getting rid of the undesirable religious minority in their midst.

I need the answer to, "Am I going to wake up and find that I and my neighbors are on a national database or being segregated for our religion or race?" to be 100% no. Not 80%. Not 90%. Not 99.9%. I need it to be no, never, not ever. And if Trump is elected, that will not be the answer.

Okay, please actually read my posts. I have stated before that I wouldn't vote for him. I have stated that the reason I didn't know about is because I already made up my mind to NOT vote for him.

I also don't trust the newspapers, or the news on TV, or any of the crap on Facebook. The media has this habit of taking anything out of context, or twisting stories and misquoting people. It's called "spinning" the story. The media is not required by law to tell even an ounce of truth. The unfortunate thing is that I don't really know of any independent, not-for-profit media that's even accurate.

Besides, once again, I have already made up my mind, years ago, to not vote for any Democrat or Republican whenever I have another option. I do this on principle, as I feel that, no matter what, neither party actually cares about the people of this country, or how their policies hurt people. When their policies cause problems, the people affected negatively are only a statistic. At least, as far as politicians are concerned.

Not only could this be great news for men who have lost their penises because of accidents or, in this man's case, disease, but it sounds like it could also be terrific news for some trans men.

Ever since it was revealed that Hulk Hogan's case against Gawker was being funded by Peter Thiel and that he was funding several others against Gawker, technology sector leaders such as Jeff Bezos and eBay founder Pierre Omidyar have started flipping out and claiming that Thiel's destroying press freedom with this move. Pierre Omidyar's news group First Look Media is actually asking other similar organizations to file friend-of-the-court-briefs in favor of Gawker. This begs the question: Have these people lost their minds? Gawker acquired a sex tape through less-than-legal means and published it without the permission of the two participants. That's something that I fail to see as a pillar of press freedom that needs to be defended. An article in the Washington Post (which Jeff Bezos now owns) defends Thiel's funding of the Hogan case. Here are a few paragraphs although the whole article is well-worth reading:

Eugene Kontorovich wrote:
Critics of Thiel’s role in the Gawker case argue that it is particularly inappropriate because they think he is motivated by “revenge” over the gossip site’s earlier publication of stories about his private life. But if the lawsuit is not frivolous, it is hard to see how the motivations of funders are relevant (or discernible). One would not say a civil rights organization could not accept donations from philanthropists angered by a personal experience with discrimination. All Thiel has done is cut out the middleman.

Indeed, Thiel’s conduct fits into the “public interest” or “ideological” litigation paradigm. The writer of the Gawker story about Thiel specifically described his decision to publish the story as an ideological one. In an interview with the New York Times, he said he wrote about Thiel not simply because he thought it would be of public interest, but rather he thought that Thiel’s “attitude” that his private life should remain so was “retrograde … and that informed my reporting.”

Thus the controversy is one about principles and policy. Gawker is institutionally committed to revealing the private lives of public people. The question of how far the privacy rights of celebrities go is a legitimate one, and Gawker’s anything-goes position is not without merit. But it is a legal and policy question. Thiel was in essence financing what he understood as public interest litigation on an issue of public concern. That he also may or may not have had feelings about it does not change that. Litigation funding is not reserved to Mr. Spock.

Muhammed Ali is dead. I can only hope that he has found the opponent he searched for in this life

daisies. I know he had been collecting painting by a particular artist (Bucholtz or something like that). We have a painting by the same artist, and I had always wondered what would happen if Mr. Ali found out we had one.

God I'm depressed. I know Muahmmed Ali had been sick for a long time, but boxing is one of the few sports I like at all. Now Ali is gone, it feels like there's no point to it anmore, even though he hasnt competed in decades. He was The Greatest, and there will never be anyone like him again.

I've been thinking about how telecom companies continue to fight back against net neutrality and their irritation at now being classified as a common carrier utility here in the U.S.. Telecoms continue to insist that they are not utilities despite the way that Internet access has become a highly integral part of our society and economy. The way that they attempt to affect public opinion is rather sneaky; much of the advertising and marketing I see from them focuses on the entertainment aspect of Internet access and speed rather than more basic necessities. It's all about Netflix, YouTube and Hulu instead of boring-but-essential things like college work, emailing your accountant, or managing your bank account. Telecoms advertise their Internet services like cable TV because they one day want to have as much control over what you see and use online as they do over what you watch on cable TV.

Gawker's filed for bankruptcy. Today is a good day. All of the sites and journalists scrambling to talk about how this is a sad day for press freedom are pathetic. Gawker did something despicable, Peter Thiel fronted the cheddar for such a huge expensive case, and the court found that that despicable thing was not something that they were allowed to do.
