Not sure why, but part of my gums are slightly swollen, obscuring half of a tooth. It's not red and it doesn't hurt, but it has an annoying feeling and it looks gross.

Uh, do you mean blisters? An ulcer is when the muscular lining on the inside of your skin ruptures over your stomach and your organs slip out of place and begin to poke through the rip in your muscle and bulge against the skin. Or that's one of the most common at least; otherwise it's a break in a membrane that causes your organs to fuck up in general, usually because they shift out of place or because one of their functions is inhibited now.

Actually I guess it's possible to get ulcers on your lips, just... really, really unusual?

College, although for the first definition (the muscular lining on the inside of the stomach breaking and allowing organs to bulge through) I realize I conflated with a hernia, since in that specific instance they share a few characteristics. But

Those are stomach ulcers. You can get ulcers in a lot of areas and a lot of the time they're not so serious. I had a tiny one in my gums once and it went away in a week.

I don't think you understand it's like a large, slimy tongue that just EXPANDS outwards from the shell, expanding to a mass considerably larger than I would assume the shell could possibly contain, and it snakes the tongue around slowly and just drags it over sources of food leaving behind a slimy trail of ichor.

It's quite honestly one of the most horrible things I've ever seen, I advise you to look up "Clam eating Salt" and witness the horror for yourself

EDIT: Apparently the CLam is just trying to move around, not eat, but it's still fucking disgusting
