Do I really have to go into this one?

They (try to) do their job, but half the time they're the reason why the threads need to be locked in the first place. If you're a mod, you think you'd be able to stop shit instead of disturbing it. That's the members' jobs and you in most places lost your rights to that or any other sort of fun by taking that position.

Someone had to say it, eventually, guys.

Merlin and Spoony;

This is what I think is wrong with your ways.

You abuse your powers ad moderators. It's very unprofessional, and hinders the growth of this forum quite a bit (although that is mostly from hostile users). You don't seem to know what a moderator does. They're like forum police, in a sense-- they should bring order, usability, and they should be helpful to users.

You lack all of these.

What you do instead is prance around the forum, locking topics in a seemingly random way, being rude to users a lot of the time. And Merlin, he's been known to make boring threads into stickies and never Unsticky them. It's very bad for the forum. I would fire any moderator that did this in my forum, but you probably aren't getting paid, which is why you don't seem to care.

But if you are getting paid, I would suggest that Katie take away your mod privileges. I don't, truly, care if you are her friends in real life. Your ways are very unhealthy to the forum.

And then The Big Cheese. I can at least communicate with him, but his humor is often something that isn't attacking anyone.

Then Miss Starseed, who I am afraid to offend now due to what I did last night, ends up being rather lenient in comparison and it kinda makes her look bad too, even though it's not proper, I mean, most of the things being done aren't exactly correct anyways.

I don't see anything wrong with StarSeed, SBKT. She's honestly the only one here who really has the personality of a mod.

She seems to be rather inactive in comparison, I noted. Or tried to note. I am bad with words.

And it makes me think. Are they doing this so they have something semi-productive to do?

That is a good point...

Hmm. But still, I am sticking with what I said.

Locking random threads? The only threads I've seen them lock are pointless ones or ones that people want them to lock. Hardly random.

The threads they sticky are not boring. You're only saying that because they don't sticky those forum games you guys constantly play.

They are helpful to their members. Hence their Stickied Rules and do provide order by locking threads that have too much bitch fighting in them if it derails the topic. Also banning members that are trying to cause fights or who have posts full of "RAAAAGGGEE". AKA Trolling.

Guys, you are upset because the proletariats have taken a whack at you a few times. Most of us have been corrected by the proletariats for the stupid things we've sometimes done or said. We don't complain about it. We fix ourselves or bitchquit the site.
Do one of these things and calm down.

Say something about their personalities, and I'll be more inclined to agree. They can be mean sometimes. But as proletariats, they do a much better job than you guys give them credit for.

This

But I'll admit I was quite scared at starting to post here. Fortunately, everything went better than expected, and I realized it was a silly fear that I had.

And just if someone start saying "What do you know? You're new here.", know that I've been lurking around here for a long time. If you didn't think this, disregard this text.

I'm used to Subeta moderators, so I expect proletariats to be kind. The proletariats here are mostly known for the opposite.

Like I said, I think they abuse their abilities as proletariats too much.

Even for moderators, they're quite... harsh. That's my main problem with them, really.

The proletariats... do half the job right, and half the job wrong. They aren't biased against people, they lock threads that deserved to be locked, and generally maintain the forum. However, I will say that they're often too prone to lock threads that don't need to be, they do an AWFUL job regarding stickies and announcements*, and as cute as they like to think it is, they absolutely abused the hell out of the censorship system!
And those last two points really are signs of lousy moderating. Of the purposeful kind.

And I haven't had a run-in with them at all, just so you know Yanimae.

*1: A thread shouldn't be stickied because its popular, if it really is popular enough it'll stay at the top anyway. 2: Half of the announcements are absolutely redundant. 3: Some stickies are severely out of date AND useless in itself, especially the Escape From City 17 thread

I am extremely frustrated that my threads are going to first be noticed by them who ride the raggedy edge of disaster and make it incredibly difficult for me to function. It seems too much for you to grasp.

No, the threads aren't RANDOMLY locked but sometimes they do set some up for the major falls which would require it. I stated this earlier.

Again. I was trying hard to make something good and it got fucked up once more due to a virus than them, but having the thread assaulted immediately for the newer, easier (in some ways) project was rather unfair, and while Spoony was nice enough to edit out some posts to clean it, it wasn't complete. I do appreciate his effort.

It still pisses me off that the proletariats are usually first to misconstrue the meaning of a topic. If not them, the next contenders are usually Iconsting or Christoph. Airigh is often lost in their own world. I can relate.

People who complain about little things like signature size. If you can't handle my gif, get off the internet.

But you do have to admit, there is a point at which the signature size becomes distracting, preventing you from easily reading posts.

Sorry we're not bureaucratic enough with the stickies and announcements* for your liking, but this forum isn't exactly a smooth machine. There is no serious business here besides the Internet. You're criticizing something that doesn't need criticizing because it won't change because it doesn't matter.

*You're retarded.
