It's not the fact that people use it, it's the way people use it. For example, this one chick on my news feed who uses it as her own personal angst dumpster, or someone using it to creep a girl who didn't show up on a date.

Calls are still more personal than text messaging though, since you can hear the other person's voice. That said, no one calls any more these days, so you might come on too strong if you do that.

i hardly think this was his intention...

i hate talking on the phone so asking what's up/what happened on the phone or fb would be perfectly find for me lol. i think it's fairly normal to ask a person who stood you up what happened, i mean that is kinda rude :/ if fb is the easiest way to do it for creaky then so be it.

Not everyone uses it as a place to bitch and complain, and I don't think that was creaky's intention. A polite message asking what's up is fine. The good thing about social media is that people can respond at their earliest convenience, instead of having to possibly interrupting something important with a phone call.

I didn't mean to imply that it was definitely his intention, I was just putting it out there that I sure hope that it wasn't in case it was.
