Maybe that means we can cure Hollywood of their case of stupid, since they take much better care of their skin than they do their minds...

This might need to be posted in Taboo Topics too, since stems cells are being discussed and I talked about skin cells being used to create stem cells for this kind of thing.

not entirely true, we could see many macroscopic molecule's charge fields

but on a microscopic scale, really neat

Now I'm no mathematician, but I'm going with the one on the right:

6/2(1+2)
= 6/2*3
= 3*3
= 9

Since you do the parentheses first, and then since division and multiplication have equal priority you go from left to right.

Three still technically belongs in a parentheses at this point. You'll end up with 6 divided by 6.

But you're going to get mathematicians who say 9, and ones who say 1. It's probably unsolvable, since it depends on whether you're multiplying first or dividing first. It's a silly question whose existence is purely meant to start arguments.

Yes :>
The only way to have a definite answer would be to write the / as a fraction. That way you'd see what is divided by what.

Isn't the rule that multiplication and division are treated the same, just from right to left?

So you'd handle the parentheses first, wind up with 6/2*3, then work your way over from the left and wind up with 9?
