Pfft, there's no such thing as "good" beer. There's shitty beer and decent beer, and I've only had one beer my whole life that tasted bad enough that I didnt want to drink it. Most others I've tried have had minor flavor variations, but no deal breakers.

This one microbrew I tried once described itself as "delightfully skunky" or something like that. It tasted like tangy booty, of course.

You tried something like a Duvel yet? Or other Tripel? I'm assuming you're mixing blonde beer.

I dont know what those mean. I usually pick beer by alcohol content, and Im mixing with 5'2% which is just a bit above the cutoff line for "strong beer". There's 7'5 and 10 too, but I stopped drinking those out of cost related reasons.

Hmm, well according to wikipedia a Triple is a strong ale, in my experience between 8-12%. Belgian beer is going to be pretty expensive where you live though, so that probably won't be an option for you if cost is an issue and I wouldn't know any local equivalents.

It takes more than beer to get me drunk anyway, my size and tolerance makes it just about impossible to get more than tipsy on 10%. I mostly drink 5% of these days, because I enjoy it.

Hefeweizen + banana juice is god tier mixed beer. From regular beers, I'm fond of Heineken and generally all beers that have a more mild flavor instead of stronk and bitter.

I don't have really a favorite beer, but the closest thing to that that I like is Angry Orchard and hard cider.

I am so decked out to drink this new years eve you have no idea
it'll either be glorious or i'll be up til 4 am crying and playing video games. Probably a bit of both?

I accidentally guzzled some Jameson Special Reserve thinking it was my regular.

It was not the same.

Not at all.
