I think people like that need to look at themselves and try and examine why things aren't working out for them. People always say you should be yourself and don't change who you are but if you are anti-social or think you are overweight, well then those are acceptable things you can change. Try it a little and its ok to be scared at first, everyone messes up but if you don't make mistakes you can never learn. The hardest thing about being older and having never been in a relationship is that you have no experience for them when you finally get in one which causes undue stress.

It will be okay.

That's one thing that always makes me sad. I hate seeing people be lonely. I wish that everyone could find that special someone. It's heartbreaking.

My great grandfather died over 60 years ago. My great grandma is still here, in her late 90's. She never remarried or anything. She still talks about my great grandfather so fondly, and it's terrible how obvious it is that she's suffering every day without him. Whenever I see her I'll always give her a hug and a facebattle, asking her to tell me stories about him.

Her favorite one to tell was when he was stationed in North Africa during WWII. He got dressed and made himself proper to go get dinner one night. He got to the mess hall, and a camel came by and licked the back of his head, covering him in slobber and gunk. Poor guy had to go back and miss dinner that night because he was such a mess. It was such a funny story (I'm sure it wasn't when it happened though, haha), and we all love hearing her tell it.

That makes it much more heartbreaking, though. She truly loves him, and all she wants is to be with him again. She's horribly sick and sometimes, she says she just wants to die.

I can't imagine how it feels, to know your true love, lose them, and have to continue with your life without them. She's an incredibly strong woman, I just wish I could be at least half as strong as she is one day.
