they have had this sips and snacks thing goin for awhile but i didnt actually try the sips (snacks is awesome btw i recommend the shit out of them)

for 4 bucks i got a aussie rum punch (malibu/mountgay/lotsoffruittyjuice) in a decent size mason jar and goddamn it was delicious

Just finished straining the milk liqueur so that it's clear. I ended up having to use more citrus because fuck UHT milk, so it tastes like creamsicles whoaaaa.

So this is what it looks like finished, next to what it looks like a few hours after putting the ingredients together. You can't see the color super well on the finished one, but it looks a bit like dilluted mountain dew.

Almost Rum (Dark Brown Sugar wine) was mostly a success! It stopped fermenting at a lower content than I was expecting, but that might have been due to me adding the last third of the sugar later on, after I realized I'd need more, rather than having it ferment from the beginning. I don't know. I'll try another batch and see what happens.

State of the first batch:

Probably only around 5-8% alcohol (judging by taste and immediately apparent effect, although I have just eaten)
Smooth and syrupy kind of feel
rich flavor, but not overpoweringly sweet. The extra molasses in the dark brown sugar helped darken the flavor enough to avoid that, despite the apparently small portion of the sugar that got converted to alcohol.

Me and my friends made mulled wine yesterday afternoon and I seriously liked it.

Added another drink to my resume.

1 part Coconut Rum
1 part PANK Lemonade Monster Rehab
2 parts Pineapple juice
