Something I find odd that you haven't taught yet are the conjugations.

As far as I know there are regular verb and irregular verb types, but my recollection of my two years of German is sketchy.

Also how do I grammar, cause that's something you get rustled at me a lot for.

I was going to make conjugations once I would give you some verbs. Be is irregular in pretty much every language known to man, interestingly, since it is one of the most commonly used verbs you would expect it being regular not irregular.
Grammar in a nutshell is

Noun + Verb + Object in sentences,
Verb + Noun + Object in questions.

I think "du" is informal whereas "dich" is formal. You would use "du" when talking to friends and family, but "dich" when talking to your teachers or boss.

Okay, cases are ways to conjugate nouns depending on, well, cases. There are 4 of them, Nominativ, Genitiv, Dativ and Akkusativ.
Nominativ is there to indicate that that noun is the noun that does the verb in the sentence. The noun in Nominativ is the answer to the question "Who does it?"

Genitiv is there to indicate that something belongs to the noun, it is widely unused nowadays, you usually use Dativ to indicate that now. Genitiv is the answer to the question "Whose is it?"

Dativ indicates as I said something belonging to the noun as well as the recipient of a message or item of sorts. It answers the question "Whom did the Nominativ do it to?"

And Akkusativ indicates the noun a verb is done to. You don't really have that as far as I know. It answers the question "Who or what is the verb done to?"

Examples:
I started the car.
Who started the car? I did. Nominativ.
What did I start? The car. Akkusativ.

I told you that bag is mine.
Whom did I tell that? You. Dativ.
Whose bag is it? Mine. Genitiv.
But also: That bag belongs to me. Whom does the bag belong to? Me. Dativ. Which would be used more often than the other one.

@ Sol: First thing no, Grammar yes.

Well you can learn it more properly when you're here.

Another thing to the Dativ: it's way more complicated than the bit I wrote here, first and fourth case are way more straight forward than Dativ. But it's hard to explain without using German words and I don't know how much all of you would understand.

Oh that's actually what I was asking about, Dehvid. Cases, not grammar. I already knew the basic structure (thank you brain for remembering the first year of German class), but Cases get the best of me and is what I assume makes up a lot of the hate I catch from you when I try to put words together into actual sentences from Google Translate.

Note: I don't use GT for sentences, I try to make those using my own knowledge because I know GT is shit when it comes to correct grammar and such. I only use it for individual words and sometimes adding context just in case. But I need to phase away from that.

Anyway, if I can dig up my old German notebook when I get home I can get the conjugation endings for each case.
Also, I should be able to assist, cause a lot of my German teachings are coming back; once I get my notebook it should hit me again.

Example Noun for all 4 cases: (note, depending on the noun the ending can be different, sorry 'bout that)
Das Buch - the book

Nominativ - Das Buch (Nominativ is ALWAYS the standard form of the noun so no worries here)

Genitiv - Des Buches (article is always des with male and neutral nouns, ending can differ but -es is the usual thing, for female nouns the article is always der and the noun itself is usually the standard form. with book it's used in contexts such as "the book's cover" etc.)

Dativ - Dem Buch (article always dem for male and neutral, noun itself is usually like standard form, der for female nouns, noun is usually standard form. This case is obviously unused for things that are not alive except for when you use it to indicate something belonging to it and even then you usually won't use it. As I said above there are more complicated things where you use Dativ, I guess I'll tell you guys about them once you need it. I'll tell you one now: it is used to indicate something being at a place. "I found that in the book." - "Ich habe das in dem Buch gefunden.")

Akkusativ - Das Buch (usually identical to Nominativ. "I read the book." - "Ich habe das Buch gelesen.")

Oh, I also remember something about unliving nouns having genders? Or would they all be used with "neutral" conjugations?

Yeah all nouns have a gender, even things that are not alive can be male or female.

Yup. Sucked just as much in French, especially if your own language already has genders and it isn't always the same in the new one.
