i dont suck that much, i just havent done an animation in forever
the last one i did was some storybook thing where you got to choose if a pirate or a ninja won the fight or something, it was coursework, i got an A : D
i felt proud of that

It's probably not just the "I can do animation, me!" level. Chances are it's really high-grade stuff.

There are a whole lotta techniques to learn from animation pros. You learn about scripting, syncing things up, storyboarding, different tools for animating that get different effects to how smooth the movement looks etc.

And seriously, self teaching yourself all the multiple lessons of animation will take a really long time bro. It would be nice to have a professional there to analyze your work and help you tweek it to look right. It's basically the same reason you would have to go to any type of artistic class if you want to learn how to get better.
